Summary: My favorite book of the year!
Review: This is a terrific book. I read it in a single day on vacation because it was lively, entertaining, and I couldn't wait to see how it turned out! I recommended it to my mother-in-law who also enjoyed it. I'm going to pass it on to some friends. I think it would also make a terrific movie.

Summary: It's a TEN star book, not just a 5....
Review: I didn't want the book to end...I wanted there to be MORE story! It was wonderful...I laughed til I cried, several times. I am of Sicilian extraction, and I must say that Ray did the Italian side to a "T". This has tremendous potential for a series of books....and a FILM! I am looking forward to it all....

Review: I was telling a writer friend of mine about the dating experiences of my five widowed sisters. "You ought to read Jeanne Ray's book. You'll appreciate it." I did more than appreciate it--I read it in one sitting, laughing all the way. I've since recommended it to each of my sisters.

Review: Here's a book you'll want to give every woman you know. It's laugh out loud funny and sweet all at the same time. I read 3/4 of it on a train ride from NYC to Albany, earning suspicious looks from fellow passenger for my sporatic bursts of laughter. The last 1/4 was a special treat I reserved for bed time. My husband didn't find it so special as I awoke him several times with fits of giggling and snorts that racked the bed a little too hard.Read it. You'll love it. And, Ms. Ray, if you're out there, get busy. I'm waiting for your next masterpiece.

Summary: Target Underwear Fits a Superwoman!
Review: JULIE AND ROMEO almost jumped off the shelf into my hands! The bold cover design beckoned to me ... and the size fit comfortably into my hand like a little jewel, which it is! But it wasn't until I opened the pages (a delightful design on their own) ... and began highlighting paragraphs (as I always do with books I adore) until the pages are bleeding yellow ... that I realized that Julie was ME! OK, so I'm Southern Methodist and not Jewish -- but I bought my cotton underwear at Target too, UNTIL I met my second husband! And, although I often question my mothering skills, I too, am one "hell of a good grandmother!" It was wonderful to read of an intimate relationship over 50! (Yes, Virginia, we DO "do it!") I read this precious book all in one sitting, stopping only long enough to go to the bathroom (it, too, is an "older woman thing")ESPECIALLY when we are LAUGHING SO HARD we have to stop of get our breath! My only desire is for Jeanne Ray to write another novel (soon!) ... and I hope this "first attempt" won't be her last! We "Sexy Seniors" need more of the same, after all, we do a lot of laughing in bed too!

Review: This book is a real page turner. I finished it in two days because I just couldn't wait to see how it ended. It moves fast and kind of reads like a movie so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it is. . .in fact, I think it would be one of the few novels that would translate well on the silver screen.

Summary: It's a thin line between love and hate.
Review: Love and hate are powerful emotions. They often guide our actions without us realizing it. This is the case when two familes feud for 3 generations without even realizing why. This book shows us two people who are tired of the arguing and just want to enjoy life but their familes won't let them. This book is full of emotional twists and turns and keeps the reader motivated. The ending may have been wrapped up a little too neatly but it will keep you smiling for days after you finish. It remind us that anger is wasted energy and we should all just try to enjoy life. This was a great summer book.

Review: I too bought this book because of the beautiful cover and was looking for a light read for summer...I found one of the most charming books I've ever read. Couldn't wait to go back to it each day. Like a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade under a big tree with a gentle breeze.....funny, sexy, endearing.
