Rating: Summary: Shane's story was the best!!!! Review: "The Fall of...." was the best of the 4 Mackade series!!! I wish a man like Shane was around to sweep ME off my feet!!! Rebecca aka "Becky" to Shane was always a brainy nerd. WAS a nerd. Shane is absolutely smitten with her and they end up falling hard. This was the best followed by Devin, Jared, then Rafe. Nora has an exceptional talent for writing books in a series. Next I'm going to tackle the O'Hurleys!!!!

Rating: Summary: A fast-paced, intriguing series Review: Best of luck in finding all four installments to the MacKade series. I was fortunate enough to find all four of the books on the shelf at the local Bookstar. Since some of the series is out of print, I guess they had leftover copies, which is great for me because I won't buy a completed series without being able to purchase all of the books. Too frustrating otherwise! :)The MacKades is the best of Nora's contemporary series novels that I've read. Although I enjoyed the Stars of Mithra series enormously, the MacKades top it by a mile. The paranormal elements to the story are much more credible than the Stars and fit into the story much more seamlessly. I enjoyed plumbing ever more deeply in each succeeding novel into the ghosts of Antietam and seeing their continuing effect on the MacKade family. The best of the best of the four is THE HEART OF DEVIN MACKADE. After Devin's story, I'd list the others: Shane, Rafe, and Jared. Enjoy the MacKade brothers and their ladies. I look forward to Nora writing about the children someday ala the MacGregor series.
Rating: Summary: Great finale to the McKade series, really enjoyed it. Review: I always enjoy reading anything by Nora Roberts, she never ceases to amaze me by the way in which she makes her characters appear in my head at the oddest moments. The McKade series was just another one of those book series where you can hardly wait for the next title to appear on the shelf so you can grab it.
Rating: Summary: nice story.... Review: i am interested in finding all the other ones in the series...wish me luck! the only part i didnt like was how the ghost thing tied in with all of this. maybe this is because im reading this one first when it should be last (?) i dont have a problem with this sort of thing normally, but something about how it unfolded....dont know. if i do get my hands on the others in the series, well see if it changes my feelings about it all....::smile
Rating: Summary: I wish I could just order myself up a shane mackade to go! Review: I loved all of the Mackade brother books. I thought my favorite was Devin's story until I read Shane's. I really loved this book. Since I read all four I will put them in my fave order now: 1) Shane's story 2) Devin's Story 3) Rafe's Story 4 Jared's Story. I didn't think this story would be good - because of the way his character although was briefly touched in the other novels just seemed blah - but she really brought him to life in this book! I hated that it ended. All I can say is READ IT!
Rating: Summary: liked it a lot Review: i read this book back in feb and liked it a lot. i am having some problems with the whole "ghost" thing, but beyond that, this series is great!! ::smile
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: Really enjoyed reading the Mackade series
Rating: Summary: The MacKades always give you a great romance. Review: Shane and his infamous reputation as a ladies' man, Rebecca with her wonderous mind, they seemed to be completely wrong for each other. But that's what made it so perfect. Nora Roberts is a very good writer. After reading "The Return of Rafe MacKade", I went out and bought all 4 books in the series. They are definately keepers.
Rating: Summary: Fallin' for Shane MacKade Review: Shane...well there's not another one like him. When I first started to read about the MacKades, I wasn't that interested in him, but as the series continued, I got more and more intrigued. Rebecca is delightful as the woman that reels the wild Shane in. The interactions between these two are interesting to say the least. I'd say to read them in order, as to get to know everyone from the beginning and the history. The ghost element in all four stories (The Return of Rafe MacKade, the Pride of Jared MacKade, the Heart of Devin MacKade, and of course, the falle of Shane MacKade [Now available in two books]) is interesting how she integrates it with the characters and their emotions and experiences. I'd like to see sequels featuring an adult Connor, Bryan, and maybe Emma. Don't miss these brothers and their loves, once you read about them, you'll never forget 'em!
