Summary: It was all right, but rather angst-ridden
Review: I've read better Maggie Shayne books. This one was nice, but I was looking forward to reaching the end. The plot was predictable, but then they give it away on the back blurb anyway. That which wasn't given away was fairly easy to figure out (given there's one evil guy, one bad guy and it's a romance) but I was all right with that. Don't go into this book expecting surprises.

The writing style was difficult to get into. 1st person for the heroine, 3rd person for everyone else. It was jarring. Cool ending though. It almost alleviated the depressing tone that weighed over the rest of the book.

Summary: Magick words
Review: This book was a wonderful mix of Shayne's talent, the rich customs and traditions she creates for her novels, and the philosophies of modern Wicca. It is wonderful to see magick portrayed in such a positive and beautiful way!

Summary: I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!
Review: I've been a fan of the talented and versatile Maggie Shayne for several years. I just read ETERNITY, and was blown away. This was a captivating, haunting tale that left me breathless and wanting more. Thank goodness there's the sequel, INFINITY, to read, which I'll start immediately! A teriffic story, a teriffic author.

Summary: A Magical Read
Review: This book pulled me into its fantasy world immediately and wouldn't let me go. I can't say what I loved about it more specifically than by saying that Maggie Shayne somehow managed to create *magick* with her masterful writing and storytelling. When I turned the final page I simply sat buzzing for ten minutes. I never reread a book, once is usually enough, but this is a book I can't stop thinking about, couldn't turn away from, and so I'm reading it again. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who loves an engaging story and craves satisfying entertainment.

Summary: Wow!
Review: After reading Maggie's vampire series I was skeptical about Eternity - would it read the same? Would it follow the same format? Eternity is nothing like her other books - it's so much better. I attended a conference where she spoke of the passion that led her to write this book and I felt it in every page. She poured herself out onto every single page, into every single letter. And the result is incredible. It's so nice to read a book that the author felt truly passionate about, that truly moved her to put it onto the paper. Read it - you'll feel it too.

Summary: hard to put down!
Review: To say it short, this is far best the best book about this subject that I have ever read, and you just have to read it to believe it, the characters are beleivable, and it truly is a love story that spans all times.

Summary: Nicely written, but did she have to bash Christians?
Review: This book was nicely written and interesting, but the way Christians and the Christian religion were put down and even demonized disturbed me. The only Christian who wasn't portrayed as "evil" was the hero Duncan, but that was apparently because he eventually re-thinks and then abandons his religion! I won't read more books by this author.

Summary: Nice book
Review: I picked up this book on one of my hunts for a good romance and was immediately thrilled-yet-highly-suspicious of the main character being a Witch. When I read it, I was happily surprised to find it a fine romance with an intelligent (if Hollywoodized) portrayal of Witches. Sure, the "Bad" Witch cutting out "Immortal" Witches hearts was nonsensical, but this *is* only a novel afterall. I liked the charaters very much and appreciated the fact that Ms. Shayne took the time to develop them. It's so tiresome when a romance author just writes them into bed as quick as possible with the story as an afterthought! And to top it off, it took me more than day to read it! (I read most romances so fast it's hardly worth buying them). I look forward to the sequel and I hope that she keeps writing more!

Summary: If you like *Magikal* romances read this!
Review: Although there is a bit of Hollywood flash and dash in this story, what with dark witches cutting out the hearts of Light Witches to be gain their power, (reminds me quite a bit of "The Highlander") it is still one of the best I've read with Magikal characters in the mundane world:-) Now... if Maggie Shayne would just put her considerable talent into writing a book with *REAL* Witches and romance... sort of like I'm blessed to have found with my *Majikal* husband and soulmate;->

Summary: Very Enchanting!
Review: I was browsing throught the book store looking for Brides of the Night by Maggie Shayne when I happened upon Eternity. I am so glad I did! Since they didn't have the book I wanted, I chose Eternity because I knew it would be great. Great was an understatement. I felt so drawn to the characters. Arianna reminded me of tv character Zena. Very head strong and fearless. I wanted to shake Duncan and make him remember. Raven was just glorious. They touched me so much that I was up reading the book all night. Finished it before I could put it down. Hardly any books have the effect on me. I have pre-ordered Infinity and cannot wait to get it. Thank you Maggie! You have touched my soul.
