Rating: Summary: Not one of Ms. Palmer's best. Review: I've always been a great fan of Ms. Palmer's books since I've read them the first time 18 years ago, however, her current offering "Lawless" was a little disappointing. Although, the story is about Cristabel Gaines and Judd Dunn, one could get side-tracked and wished Cristabel ended up with Cash Grier. Similar to what the previous reader said, Cash Grier was more a man than Judd Dunn was. Even the secondary plot (the murder mystery) was lost in the jealousy and misunderstanding that went back and forth between Judd and Crissy. I'm looking forward to Ms. Palmer's story of Cash Grier,in the event that she does write one for him. Although, "Lawless" is not one of Ms. Palmer's best, her future offerings would still be greeted with much enthusiasm!!!
Rating: Summary: Humorous Review: I've read almost all of Ms. Palmers books. Some have been cheesy and some have been repetitive, but this one, well, I really enjoyed it.It was FUNNY. There were several good lines and I laughed aloud quite a few times. It was only about 3/4 of the way thru the book that it got a little cheesy, but the earlier humor made up for that. One of Palmers best - in a long time....
Rating: Summary: One Of My All Time Favorites! Review: If you haven't already done so, read this book. Buy it, borrow it, whatever it takes...just read it! This was one of the most romantic stories I've ever read and I've read too many to count. It was nice not to be reading a book with the same old tired, done-too-death plots. Crissy was sweet, smart, beautiful, funny, and totally in love with her "husband" Judd. He is a sexy, good looking lawman. They had always agreed to divorce as soon as she reached adulthood. Crissy and Judd(when he would admit it to himself) we're in love with each other. Throw in some bad guys, a scheming movie star and an ornery sherriff and you've got yourself a laugh-out-loud, yet suspenseful romance book. Will definitely keep to reread.
Rating: Summary: One of Diana Palmer's Best! I love it! Review: Lawless is one of Diana Palmer's best. Some people want Cash Grier to be Christbel's love instead of Judd Dunn. However, they forget that in real life people love with their hearts instead of their mind. When you love someone, you accept the best with the worst. Because the best parts is often outweighted the worst parts, you believe it is worth it. I cannot wait to see the new book that Palmer will write about Cash Grier and Tippy. It will be a great story, too.
Rating: Summary: Against the Law to Miss This Book! Review: Lawless tells the tale of Christabel Gaines and Judd Dunn. He married her when she needed him to, but was her husband in name only. She has always loved him and he was oblivious...until now.
Chrissy is a spitfire that covers her feelings with humor and Judd doesn't acknowledge his own feelings at all, until it's almost too late. This is a good solid story that is very enjoyable and caused me to laugh out loud with the humor of the heroine. The interactions were realistic and you could relate to each of them in their own way. Cash was intriguing and you felt for him towards the end. But never fear he has his own book! I love all the Jacobsville books! A terrific Diana Palmer, don't miss it!
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: Much to my husbands dismay, I stayed up until 3:30 am reading this! Loved the story - wanted to love & hate them both. Cristabel is young & naive, yet very mature in many ways. Judd is strong & steady, yet so unbelievably MALE - as in dumb when it comes to Cristabel. LOVED Cash - can't wait for his story - hopefully with someone strong, sweet and with an internal light. Please don't ruin his story by connecting him with the actress/model. She is just too yucky. Too sexy & whinny & witchy - can't see that she is redeemable.
Rating: Summary: 1/2* Not my kind of book... Review: My last book was Desperado when it came out in hardcover. I really got into Palmer's Long Tall Texan series several years ago before I started reading more romantic suspense. This book was much like her previous books. Christbel and Judd married five years before to save their ranch, which they had joint ownership. Crissy only being sixteen at the time knew that their marriage would come to an end on her twenty first birthday. It was the classic Palmer book of the virgin who fell in love with a man fourteen years older that didn't want to be tied down because of events that happened in his past. I read it in four hours, skimming some parts. If you like a really easy read that won't cause you to think, this is it for you. If you like more emotion and not a lot of running around, this isn't the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Lawless Review: One of Diana Palmer's best ever. You want to root for Cash Grier 'cause he is all man. You want to tell Judd to smarten up! Men Honestly!!! Being from Texas I can tell you the author has a firm grasp of the Texas male. I'm waiting on the book on Cash.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: This book is one of the books that I have reread the most. I absolutely love it. I fell in love with Judd but disliked him at the same time for the way he would treat Christabel. This book made me cry in multiple parts, but I am so glad that I have read it, it just shows what a great author Diana Palmer is. A Great Read!!!
Rating: Summary: Wow!! Review: This is my first time reading Diana Palmer's book and I can't wait to hit the bookstore and read her other books. The story and the character are well developed. I can feel each emotions and cried when Christabel cried. My only problem is with Tippy. I just can't help hating her even though she proved to be quite a caring woman in the end. And I'm really not keen on the idea of Tippy and Cash. I thought Cash deserved someone like Christabel. But all in all, I love it!!
