Summary: Terrific debut! This one sizzles!
Review: ...And fair warning: You'll need a sharp mind to enjoy it. If you are used to the same-ol', same-ol' (and boring turns you on)...then step away from this book! Ms. Low takes her readers for quite the wild ride into a new concept of a "black-ops-type" agency. Her style is gritty and unapologetically unique. (Very refreshing). Her love scenes require asbestos gloves for the reader (a welding helmet may help as well), and the story line is charged and exciting.

Ms. Low effortlessly tackles conflicting emotions, making the reader feel all gamuts of the character's personalities.

Well done, exciting and new. I can't wait to see what she has in store for her next novel.

Summary: terse romantic suspense espionage thriller
Review: CIA team TIARA Task Force Two abducts the man hired to chauffeur the mythically renowned assassin Marlena Maxwell. They replace the captured driver with US Navy Seal Steve McMillan whose assignment is to learn the identity of Marlena's next victim.

From the first moment when Marlena manhandles Steve, he finds himself quite attracted to her. Shocking to the proficient killer, Marlena finds she is also distracted as Steve shows courage and a dry sense of humor even when his wrong gun is loaded. Marlena assumes her stud driver is CIA, but also knows that potentially he could be part of some other alphabet soup agency. Regardless of who planted Steve and her feelings for him, the consummate professional plans to do what she does best, complete her latest assignment.

Fans of taut romantic thrillers will want to join the lead couple INTO DANGER. The story line is loaded with action, especially double and triple crosses, and an assortment of intriguing characters though masks inside masquerades adds to the suspense. Though at times the tale seems undecided as to whether to satirize "Jane" Bond or go serious, fans of terse romantic suspense espionage thrillers will receive quite a high from this superb novel.

Summary: Sultry Suspense
Review: Fluttering hearts and goo-goo eyes are not on the agenda in Gennita Low's novel, Into Danger, but heart pounding, mind racing intrigue and sensuality certainly are. Stubborn, strong and sexy characters, Steve (Stash) McMillan and Marlena Maxwell, pull you into the story and a twisting, turning, tumultuous plot keeps you there. Navy Seal McMillan is given a covert assignment to find out what the infamous and sultry assassin Marlena is up to before turning her in. But as they are each woven into a web of secrets and lies, the only thing that seems certain is their intense attraction for one another. Their struggle to keep that attraction at bay so they don't compromise their respective assignments adds to the delicious tension that makes this a tantalizing and suspenseful read.

Into Danger should come with a warning label: Have your cold showers running.....

Summary: This book has it all....
Review: Gennita Low's debut novel is a heart stopping good time. It is full of intrigue, suspense and most of all sizzle. Steve "Stash" McMillan is a Navy Seal, whose newest assignment is with Task Force Two of TIARA (Tactical Intelligence and Related Activities) Steve is assigned to watch the suspected assassin, Marlena Maxwell. But, Marlena isn't exactly what she appears to be, she is so much more. The cat and mouse game of attraction between Steve and Marlena is so hot you will have to keep fanning yourself. Besides the sizzle, the high stakes world of intelligence will also keep you glued to your seat.
What a fantastic start to a great writing career.

Summary: A Wild Ride
Review: Hard to believe this is a debut book. It's fast paced, exciting and hot! Expect more wonderful works from the talented Gennita Low.

Summary: Gets better as you go.
Review: I didn't like this book at first. Readers are thrown directly into a plot already in progress and the relationship between Steve (Stash) and Marlena is almost immediate. It took me a while to catch up, so I didn't start liking it until about a third of the way through. But from then on, it is a good romantic suspense.

Summary: Awesome debut
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It grabbed my attention, and held it, making a 3 hour plane ride much more enjoyable than usual.

The characters were well drawn and interesting. I particularly enjoyed the hero's "guyness." Suave romantic heros in tuxes are all very well but once in a while it's nice to have a white tee-shirt and beer kind of guy. Marlena was a tough, savvy, assertive heroine and I really enjoyed watching her one-up the Feds and all the other male players in the book.

The sensuality in this book is very inventive and intense. The scenes really moved the relationship along and were excellent reflections of the growing feelings between Steve and Marlena.

I have a hard time believing that this was a first novel for Gennita! I felt that it was far better than most - and, in fact, far better than some that are NOT first novels - and really look forward to her next one.

Summary: Really a three and a half
Review: I recently read Ms. Low's book "Facing Fear" and I loved it. So I ordered her first novel "Into Danger", which was a prequel to "Facing Fear". The bad news is I wasn't impressed with it. The good news is that based on her second book she's improved wonderfully!

This book was way too repetitious! Marlena's constant desire to be in control of everyone and everything was way over the top, not to mention annoying! In the real world there is no such thing as control. It's impossible to predict with 100% accuracy how a particular person will react and there are always variables which can change the outcome of any situation. Marlena was way too arrogant and not particularly likeable. I didn't really see a connection between her and Steve beyond the physical. And Steve was just sort of "there".

It's not necessary to read this book in order to get the maximum enjoyment out of "Facing Fear", a book I would highly recommend!
