Rating: Summary: Best of the best! Review: The perp was dubbed the Sinatra Killer. He object [physically harmed] his victims, stabbed them, took a trophy, and left them to bleed out. At each crime scene a boom box was left with Frank Sinatra singing romantic songs to a corpse. Sara Martin had no idea her silent phone caller was the perp. Her friends talked her into going to the police to ask for advice. It was there that Sara met [good looking] Detective Eric D'Angelo. The attraction was instantaneous, but Sara was not yet ready for a relationship. Eric knew Sara would be special to someone, someday. But he shocked himself when he heard himself ask her out. They would take it slow. Eric and his partner were on the Sinatra case. As the bodies piled up, connections from the killer to Sara began forming. Eric vowed to protect Sara with his life! ***** OMG! This story is so enthralling that I read it within six hours, never once putting it down for anything! Some characters from previous books were thrown in, (casual third party references) and that made the characters even more real to me - the reader. The story is so good that it deserves a special word to describe it. I decided on "Unputdownable!" I have no doubt you will agree. Highly recommended! *****
Rating: Summary: A Fast Thrilling Read!!! Review: This was a fast read with great characters and plot! There are so many twists and turns that you are kept guess as to who the "Sinatra Killer" is. Women are being killed and at the scene of the crime is a CD player playing Sinatra songs. No clues are being left behind and the police are puzzeled as to who the killer is and why he's killing. Sara has been receiving crank calls and her friend and co-worker suggest that she speak with her husband who just so happens to be a police detective. Sara goes to talk to Bess's husband but talks to his partner instead. Detective Eric D'Angelo. The attraction is immediate and for the first time Sara is willing to start letting go of the past and look toward the future. But at the same time that Eric and Sara start falling for each other, Eric finds out that there is a connection between the "Sinatra Killer" and Sara. Could she be his next victim? As stated previously this was a fast paced read and the romance between Eric and Sara is great! You can really feel the chemistry beetween these two people. You can also feel the fear that is presented due to the killer. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. Ms. Davis is an author that you must add to you MUST READ list!

Rating: Summary: Superb characterizations Review: Two years have passed since the car accident that took the lives of her husband and four-year-old son, but free lance photographer Sara Martin still grieves. When the phone calls began, her friend Bess Haskins pushes Sara to talk with her husband Tony, an Austin police detective for advice. Sara reluctantly does, but Tony misses the appointment. His partner Eric D'Angelo takes time from the Sinatra serial killer case he works to provide her with practical tips. Surprising both Eric and Sara, they feel an immediate attraction to one another as neither has found any recent interest in the opposite sex until now. However, the Sinatra case intersects with Sara as the killer, over the phone, begins describing the grisly scenes to her in some sort of macho boasting manner. If he did not love her, Eric would wonder if Sara was helping the murderer, but because he does he concludes that she is the ultimate target, but who is this Sinatra fan? Though serial killer romance tales have been in over abundance of late, this novel is a refreshing entry due to the Sinatra angle. The story line is loaded with action that turns quite frenzied when Eric realizes that his beloved is in danger. The lead couple is a charming pair and his partner and her friend add depth to the stars. Dee Davis furbishes a strong police procedural romance and readers will enjoy DANCING IN THE DARK (but keep the lights on - it's hard to read in the dark). Harriet Klausner
