Rating: Summary: Troubled Pasts - Promising Future Review: Ms. Adair has a way with taking two characters with troubling pasts and bringing them together in a powerfully, romantic manner. Her couple really has an uphill battle in IN TOO DEEP!Former Navy SEAL, Michael Wright has scars (physical and psychological) but that's why he's on a mission of revenge. Can he ignore the unexpected cracks in his hardened heart and use his enemy's daughter to achieve his goal? Can she overcome her own phobeas and trust him enough to find love in his arms? I loved this book... and the series on the Wright siblings in general. IN TOO DEEP is #3 in series: KISS & TELL is #1... HIDE & SEEK is #2.
Rating: Summary: Deeply disappointing Review: Not up to Adair's usual standard. I don't mind if a book in this genre has an unlikely plot, but it annoys me when it is full of holes. The heroine is pathetic and not very smart. The writing is not witty or suspenseful and I ended up flipping through the pages.
Rating: Summary: MyShelf.com Book Reviewer Review: Revenge is sweet nectar when once obtained . . . A year had passed since ex navy SEAL Michael Wright had visited Paradise Island. Cherry Adair's In Too Deep sizzles with every turn of the page. She has successfully loaded this captivating novel with some of the steamiest ammunition that includes such intriguing elements as mystery, suspense, and the true essence of romance. This book will fast become a rarity, for it is sure to be on everyone's who reads it keeper shelf. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Rating: Summary: In Too Deep Review: Sex was great story line weak and too much action for one person. The Lt. history was very short and not enough details. Out of the 4 books written by Ms. Adair this one was my least enjoyed one.
Rating: Summary: She does it again! Review: Since Cherry Adair's first full-length novel, she had been in my top five authors. Now, after reading In Too Deep in a record three hours, I have to say that she is my favorite. This book has everything: great plot, complex characters and very, very steamy love scenes. The story features Michael Wright, brother to Marnie from Kiss and Tell (5 enthusiastic stars), and Tally Cruise, a lost little nobody who comes alive in a big way in this book. It starts with a huge explosion (literally) and never slows down after that. Usually I like to point out little flaws in books, but this one didn't have any. Adair set the book in a fantastic spot, the characters were interesting and perfect for each other, and the revenge plot never lost momentum. To me, that equals the perfect book! I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
Rating: Summary: Funny, Fast Paced, Wonderful Review: Since others have already summarized the plot, I'm not going to bother. Instead, let me explain why Cherry Adair (and this book in particular) is one of my personal favorites. Before I start, let me first say how limited my time is. If I do treat myself to a romance book, it has to be something special. There are three things I look for in a good/worthy romance novel (All of which IN TOO DEEP delivers brilliantly): 1.) The female lead actually has to LIKE her male lead. Yes, I know, I'm picky but this is a MUST. I don't want to read two hundred pages about some chick who has PMS. If the conflict of the story is getting the ice-queen to stop saying "I HATE YOU!" I know right away, this ain't the book for me. Tallulah (AKA Tally) in this story was funny, clever, and gutsy. Don't you love characters who can laugh at themselves? I do. Mrs. Adair did a wonderful job making her female lead loveable. Moving on... 2.) I want a story that makes me laugh. Without humor, I find it is harder to become emotionally invested or care about the characters and what is happening to them. In fact, too much drama makes me root for the bad guys. Fortunatly, lack of humor was not a problem for Mrs Adair. In fact, I was giggling like a idiot during most of it (how embarrassing). That there was a three legged cat named Lucky should give you some idea what a fun book this was. Last but not least... 3.) Its not enough that a book be romantic and have a happy ending. Oh, no. I need something more. A Super Romance if you will. Things like instant chemistry and constant physical awareness of the two main characters. For me, I like explosive/violent attraction from the start, or its a waste of my time. It might not be reality, but darn it, a girl can dream can't she. If you look for the same things in romance books as I do, you will love--no make that adore-- IN TOO DEEP. I loved it...can't say enough good things about it, actually. ... Happy Reading! *wink*
Rating: Summary: great job Review: The troubled Navy SEAL meats the damsel in distress, reluctantly falls in love with her and has to protect her from the bad guys.
Original? No. I've read the same storyline over and over again.
Despite the plot's lack of originality, I liked the characters immensely. Tally was funny, witty and charming, which made her a very likable heroine. Michael was the typical macho who doesn't want to have feelings for the heroine, but has them anyway. But he too was charming and funny. Their banter was hysterical and made me laugh a lot. The characters really made up for the unoriginal plot.
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: The Wright's never cesase to amaze me. Michael and Tally's story was the best so far. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Not what I had hoped Review: This book did not grab me as the authors first two books. It still has great writing, but it did not have me staying up into the wee hours to finish like Kiss and Tell and Hide and Seek did. I did find the plot very close to the later books plot line. I had to really hold my feet to the fire to even finish this book. I found myself skimming (I usually just put a book down if I have to resolve to skimming) trying to get myself interested in the plot. The "romance" scenes will not disappoint and I like the heroine. I like Ms. Adairs heroines because they are strong in determination and are usually humorious. I hope her next book finds that spark again that has me reading all night to find out what happenings before that happy ending (that I love!). I would still say this book is good, much better than a lot of romance fiction out there today! But Hide and Seek and Kiss and Tell are excellent!!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Cherry Adair just keeps getting better and better!! Review: This book is fantastic. Ex-Navy Seal Michael Wright wants revenge on the man who murdered his friend - and when he meets the daughter of his enemy he thinks he's found a sure-fire way to exact it. Unfortunately Tally Cruise is not as close to Papa as Michael hopes, and when an attempt is made to kill her, he ends up as her rescuer. Now that he's got to know her, can he really use her for his revenge? Cherry has penned another great story in the Wright family series (Kiss and Tell, Hide and Seek). If you like danger, intrigue, a hot, hot hero and lots of steam, I recommend it highly!
