Rating: Summary: Weird... Review: I won't lie to you and tell you that I liked this book all the way through and everything was peachy. I learned a couple things about myself while reading this book. For example, for a minute, I thought I was a little homophobic. But it was weird because I didn't feel this way when I read E. Lynn Harris' books. It was wild to me to read about two lesbians try to find love because I had never read it before and being a heterosexual woman, it went over my head at first. But then I blew the chip off my shoulder and read the doggone book and I liked it. There were mixed feelings of pity, delight, comfort, curiosity, and disgust but many more where I laughed out loud (Big Les was totally vivid) and I have to give credit where credit is due. This book was controversial, organized, and the end was uncomfortably realistic. Read it.

Rating: Summary: Sex, Lies and Videotape Review: In this latest novel by RM Johnson, frustration is just one of the many problems these characters face. The story centers around Jayson and his fiancé and soon-to-be wife, Faith and his best friend and former lover, Asha. When Jayson's friendship with Asha threatens his relationship with Faith, he is forced to make a decision. Will it be the right one? What are the consequences? I was so wrapped up in these characters that I felt as if I were in the room witnessing their emotions firsthand. The aspect I found most refreshing was the inner turmoil of Asha. I could feel her angst as she struggled with her sexuality. This was my first time reading about a woman in this situation and it was expertly done. The relationship between the characters was flawed as were the people. This did not make them bad, just human. This novel shows us that love does not always start off on solid ground. Sometimes it may make you cry. However, it can still prevail in the end. Like The Harris Men and The Harris Family, I felt like I was on an amusement park ride while reading Love Frustration. Nervous at the beginning, thrilled during the ride and sad when it was over. So, when Johnson's next novel hits the stores, you can bet I will be first in line to buy a ticket. Rating: Summary: Better than I expected Review: It only took the first page to see this book wasn't what I thought it was going to be about but doesn't mean it's bad. I was drawn into every page trying to guess what was next so I could write this book off as predictable; that never happened. The many twists will have you laughing out loud and then quickly looking around the room to see if anybody noticed you! It's a pretty good read but pretty tough to follow after reading Raising Fences by Michael Datcher.
Rating: Summary: A Great Change-Up From RM Johnson Review: Jayson Abrahms and Asha Mills have been each other's lives for what seems like forever. Jayson and Asha share everything with each other including being together romantically at one point. However, Jayson eventually learns about a very big secret that Asha's kept from him all the time they've known each other. Asha's engaged to Gill, a guy she cares for but doesn't love and Jayson's engaged to Faith, a woman that he cares for but he, unfortunately, finds out that she doesn't feel the same. Love Frustration was literally a roller coaster ride of relationship ups and downs and there were more than enough shocks, surprises, and twists to keep the reader turning the pages until the conclusion of this fantastic book. As a fan of his other work, especially The Harris Men and The Harris Family, I was very skeptical and quite frankly worried that this book wouldn't stack up to those. But, I was more than pleasantly surprised that not only did I enjoy this book, but that I also saw a lighter, more humorous side to RM Johnson than he displayed in his other novels. Grab a copy today and enjoy!
Rating: Summary: good read Review: Jayson is deeply in love with Faith and he proves it at the end of the novel, even though she cheated on him. I thought he was very foolish for staying with her, but in his eyes he did the right thing. Asha, Jayson's best firned came to terms with herself and she did what she wanted. Love Frustration was a good novel.
Rating: Summary: Actually 3.5! Review: Johnson gives the reader a story of friendship and relationships that is built upon deceit and lies and then redemption. Jayson Abrahams is a good-looking "brotha" that is not secure in himself who falls in love with the conniving Faith Sheppard. Faith and Jayson are to tie the knot in less than a week, but Faith says she has issues with Jayson's bestthe beautiful Asha Mills. Discover the secrets that both Faith and Asha are keeping from Jayson and how he deals with them. Jayson is definitely a "brotha" worth reading about. By Lolita Lark, Sister 2 Sister BC
Rating: Summary: Page turner to the end Review: Let me start by saying this is the first novel I've had the pleasure of reading by RM Johnson. The others are on my list to purchase. Love Frustration is a beautiful tale of love. Love isn't easy by any means. Jayson and Faith are days away from their wedding day when Faith offers Jayson an ultimatum. Karen best friend of Faith seem to hate Jayson but she shines the light on a secret. Asha is best friend of Jayson who struggles to accept her sexual preference. This story is full of lies, secrets, betrayal and love. Very emotional and dramatic that I highly recommend. Well written and the steamy scenes were pretty good also. The flow of the book was excellent and the character were very well developed. You deserve more stars Mr. Johnson. I look forward to reading your other work. Keep the faith and stay blessed!
Rating: Summary: GRRRRREAT!! Review: Love Frustration by RM Johnson was very good. I only stopped reading it once and that was to go to sleep for the night. As soon as I woke up I was compelled to pick up the book and keep going. RM Johnson is very detailed with his characters, but not too detailed that you can't imagine. Throughout reading the book you can picture the settings that the characters are in and the expressions on their faces when exciting things happen. I am a teenager and I think the book is appropriate for mature high school students. TWO THUMBS UP!!!
Rating: Summary: Engaging, well-written, and steamy Review: Love Frustration is an appropriate title for RM Johnson's most recent novel. Who wouldn't be frustrated when he or she must deal with tough choices regarding their relationship? Do we or don't we get married? Should I take him back? Is this love strong enough to endure all the heartache and pain? These questions and many more are answered in this relationship novel that includes not only the main character Jayson Adams and his fiancée Faith, but also Jayson's best friend, a female, named Asha, someone whom he wants to keep in his life against Faith's protests. Many plots twists and turns will keep the reader flipping through the pages of this novel. There are tons of steamy sensual scenes, breezy sharp dialogue, wonderful humor, eloquent writing, drama, and an unexpected climax - all the requirements needed for an engaging read. Lovers and friends will find lots to digest and discuss with RM Johnson's Love Frustration.
