Review: "Frankly My Dear" was a sweet book, but not much more. I will admit that it had it's moments, but some of the dialogue was sooo corny it made me cringe. This book was for the most part set in 1845, however, it had a distinctly modern feel to it..even the characters who werent from 1996 acted as if they were. I usually really enjoy Sandra Hill, but this book was just too cheesy for me..not terrible, but not great either. Mediocre at best.

Summary: Fun, but not that fun
Review: Before I bought this book, I read the previous reviews for reference. I think I expected too much because of many reviewer's opinion that it's the funniest, laugh out loud book ever. I found it's funny, especially herion's endless blond joke. But I confess this is not my funniest book I've ever read. Setting was good ; super model with sense of humor, time travel, etc. However it was not pulling me so that I fully concentrated on the story. Maybe the hero was not attractive character enough for my liking. Or maybe their emotional and sexual relationship was not so convincing. Anyway I'll try one more Sandra Hill's book, so I can tell if this author become one of my favorite.

Review: Frankly My Dear was the first book i ever read by Sandra Hill and it was the best ever! This book was outragously funny , it had me laughing out loud! Sandra selente better known as Selene is a supermodel who is fed up with modeling. but just as she is about to quit, while on her last job she is put under a curse that transports her back in time where she meets the dashingly handsome James Baptiste. James thinks she is crazy of course and does not believe that she is from the future. This book is great . I love novels that have good humor , the blonde jokes, the Gone With The Wind references were priceless! I recommend this book to anyone with a good sense of humor.

Review: FRANKLY, MY DEAR is the best time-travel I have read, ever. In fact, it is the best romance novel, period, that I have read in a very long time. FRANKLY, MY DEAR joins a select group of books I consider keepers.

Review: I agree that this book is very entertaining. However, I don't agree that it is hilarious. The idea is great. Selene was a beautiful model in 1996 but when she gets voodooed back 150 years she's too skinny, her hair is too puffy from a perm and the mosquito bites . . . Well, you get the picture, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." All and all I would recommend this book.

Summary: Good Read
Review: I enjoyed reading this book. I read it in just one day as it really does hook you. The characters are wonderful and very developed. The only problem is that Selene is torn so much about whether to return to the future or not. I was thinking thoughout this that if I had the life or the lack of a life that she had, I would jump to stay in the past with a man who loved me with the passion that James had for Selene.

Review: I have never took much interest in romance novels. I got this one because it dealed with my two favorite things, time travel and Gone With the Wind. I was not disappointeed. Sandra Hill has a wonderful sense of humor, and I look forward to reading more of her books.

Review: I have not finished this book yet, but I wanted to issue a word of warning to anyone who is considering reading it. Do not start reading when you are limited on time. Once you start you will not be able to put it down! This book is wonderful and funny. I can't wait to go home from work so I can really settle into reading it. One hour at lunch is not enough time.
