Summary: Oh, thank you!
Review: I want to thank the publisher for re-printing this book! I loved it when it first came out and bought several as gifts for friends. All I have left is my original copy, and I refuse to lend it to anyone, although I always recommend it when people are looking for funny romances. But friends were frustrated they couldn't get their hands on it. This book deserves to stay in print forever.

Summary: A wonderful, wonderful romance novel!!!
Review: If I could give this book a six, I would. What a creative concept for a romance story! I laughed out loud more times than I could count, and even wept at the end. Sandra Hill is one talented lady. I can't wait to read the sequel to this book, SWEETER SAVAGE LOVE.

Summary: Incredibly Funny!
Review: If try to take the book appart looking for details on accuracy and authenticity you would not like this book. But if what you want is just a light and fun reading YOU will wet your pants with the things that happens here. The way things developed between the main characters is very fast and funny. I laugh all the way to the end, and have read it several times when am in the mood for a pick me up. I really LIKE IT!

Summary: THE BEST NOVEL I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME!!
Review: Ms. Hill outdid herself with this brazing, wonderful, laugh-a-minute novel. I laughed until I cried and cried until I laughed. To be honest, I am not one for time-travel and precivil war novels, but I decided to buy it because of the cover. That may sound a bit off beat (never judge a book by it's cover) but just one look at James and Selene and you know they were meant to be. By the second page, I was hooked. I didn't put it down until the end and I was ever so sorry that it ended! A story like that should last forever! Ms. Hill is a terrific romance writer (and the only novelest who ever answered a fan letter from me). Thank you, Sandra, for the many great novels and the fan appreciation!

Summary: Fun Fun Fun
Review: Sandra Hill knows how to make you laugh. This book is a light hearted story of a famous model being thrown back in time by a voodoo spell. She lands in the time of slavery and gentleman who knew how to treat a woman like a woman. Being on a plantation in Lousiana is not easy but Selena finds that she loves everything about her new life. The owner James, his servants and wild son warm your heart. Selena brings the 1999's to the 1800's. While teaching the young children math and biology, she is also teaching aerobics to the staff and having group therapy sessions for the woman. What a hoot. Throw in some Gone with the Wind and you got a funny love story.

Summary: THIS IS A WINNER - KEEPER
Review: The writing of this book must have been as enjoyable as the reading. I laughed and laughed through most of it. The sense of humour that was brought out between Selene and James is great. Being pre civil war was quite interesting as well as the background of the South especially New Orleans. I liked the fact that the couple were so right together and Selene stayed with James. I highly recommend this book as a timesweep as well as humurous and a joy to read.

Summary: A Big Disappointment
Review: This book came highly recommended to me,but it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments in my reading life. The characters do not ring true, especially James Baptiste and his son. I cannot imagine people in 1845 behaving the way some of these people do and the author seems to have no grasp on how a five year old child would behave. I don't feel that the book was historically accurate either. I decided to read this particular book because I like time travel stories and historical novels. I would not recommend anyone wasting a cent on this book.

Summary: You should give a damn
Review: This book has all the flare and enchantment of a real life fairy tale come to life in the pages of this book. How many of us have ever wished to wake up in a time when men were dashing and gallant? For those that have ever dreamed of finding themselves propelled through time to find their prince charming, this book is for you!

Summary: You buy 1 Hill book, You gotta buy them all!
Review: This book is highly entertaining, fast paced and funny as #%$$. This is the 3rd Sandra Hill book I've read, and today, because of this book, I had to go on-line and just order all of her books that I could find, via amazon, ebay, etc. Sandra is a great great writer. You will love this book and all of her others as well.

Summary: Clever and entertaining
Review: This book was recommended to me, and I was disappointed when I finally got it and found out it was a romance (NOT my favorite genre). But I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. This was cleverly written, and I enjoyed the blonde jokes. I don't like the way most romances portray women as helpless and pitiful and men as distant and controlling. This book broke away from those stereotypes and gave me a hero and heroine that I could empathize with. I could have lived without all the sex, but I guess that's just part of the genre. I found the book light and easy to read.
