Summary: A good book for vacation
Review: I picked up this book at my local library because I liked
the title.
I thought that it was very good for a first book.
I do hope that Cara Lockwood will write more novels.
I was taking my time reading it because I didn't want it to
end.
Very enjoyable read.

Summary: Very Funny Pageturner
Review: I read this book in two nights - I really couldn't put it down. It is a very quick and funny read. The backdrop for the book is the main character's job as a wedding planner (it contains some hilarious descriptions of weddings and brides), but is also a true romance. I whole heartedly recommend it!

Summary: Fabulous story of love
Review: I truely enjoyed Cara Lockwood's ability to get the reader into Lauren Crandell's head as she carried out her job as a wedding planner. The stories developed beween Lauren and her friends, parents, clients, G and Nick Corona were extremely enjoyable. Great movie material. Ms Lockwood's tale of true love was told in a very witty manner. It's a well crafted story filled with humor, surprises, amourous twists and turns, and a great ending. I especially enjoyed the " Up Close and Personal with the Author" section at the end. I'm sure going to recommend that all my friends and acquaintances go out and get her book today!

Summary: I laughed, I cried, I wanted more!
Review: I've always found wedding planning to be an incredibly interesting thing and this book satisfied a lot of my curiosity. It also gave me plenty of hunky firefighter to read about. This is a wonderful book and it is perfect for the beach or anywhere.

Be prepared to stay up late if you start it too close to bed time (I was up until 3:30 am).

Summary: Fantastic First Book!
Review: In her witty debut, Cara Lockwood weaves a hilarous tale of wedding mahem. Lauren Crandell, the ultra organized wedding planner (who has incidentally been married and divorced before the age of thirty) strives to make that special day perfect for all her clients--until she meets the Supreme Psycho Bride intent on ruining Lauren's career. And then there's Nick Corona--the sexy firefighter with the brains to match the brawn--who seems to be a contradiction of perfect man and cheating scoundrel. An overbearing boss, a vindictive feline, mistaken identities, public humiliation, and an arson attempt all combine to make this a spectacular, outrageously funny read.

Summary: Like it? I Do!!!
Review: Lockwood knocks it out of the park her first time at bat. For anyone that has been a bridesmaid or bride - the razor-sharp witty dialogue will make you giggle till the very end. As a side note, this makes a perfect gift for any bride-to-be!

Summary: Cute Romance, but Not the Best Wedding Fiction
Review: This book is a cute romance - charming and sweet, but predictable. It makes for a quick, pleasant read to pass an afternoon at home. However, what drew me to this book over the similar romantic stories on the shelf was the wedding aspect. As a newlywed, I'm still weaning myself from the delights of wedding planning, and my reading matter reflects this. Having graduated from "bride-to-be" to "newlywed with advice," I thought that a book about a wedding planner would be a perfect fit. From the description on the back cover, I was expecting to find along the way a few fantastic anecdotes about the terrors of wedding planning. However, this wasn't the case. The wedding planning definitely takes a back burner in this story, and the bride in question is more of a psycopath than your typical detail-obsessed, perfectionist Bridezilla.

If you're looking for a quick read and a cute romance story, this book will do just fine. However, if you're looking for the distinctly bridal slant, you'd be better off somewhere else (i.e. "Diary of a Mad Bride" by Laura Wolf or "Shopaholic Ties the Knot" by Sophie Kinsella).

Summary: I do, too!
Review: This book is hysterical! Not so much laugh out loud but the amount of sarcasm that is used to better describe Lauren's insecurities just kept me smirking. Plus, I am a romantic at heart and in the process of planning my own wedding as well as my future sister-in-law's big day so I really fell into this book and just about melted at the ending. The only thing I am disappointed in is the fact that this is Cara Lockwood's first novel and now I have to wait to read anything else by her.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very funny chick-lit
Review: This book more than made up for my disappointing experience with another chick-lit book. It revive my faith in the genre by having a realistic-thinking heroine, hilarious situations that the heroine overcomes with a certain flair, and of course the guy who truly appreciates her for the imperfect woman that she is. I look forward to reading more of her books.
