Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: Ms Alers has the remarkable ability to make the characters come to life. Sometimes and more often than not; you feel like you're a fly on the wall of a real life drama playing out before your eyes. I started the "Hideaway" series out of sequence but caught on after the second book. I am grateful to Ms Alers for mixing the worlds of the african-americans and afro-latins. She enlightens the readers of other former slave countries and their modern day black people of their sucessess despite slavery. Its great to read about afro-latins in Costa Rica (Bahia Brazil and Mexico City) and their romantic relationships. Black people of the Americas have a common thread which is slavery but only culture/language separates us. We should not let language and culture keep us from seeking out each other in friendship and most of all, love. Although this book is the end of the first gen of the Coles; I thought you might re-visit this family and explore the relationships of Josephine and Nancy Cole (sisters of Martin and David, half sib of Joshua) and it would really be a treat to go back to the beginning with relationship of Samuel Claridge Cole and Margurite Josifina Diaz (Cole) and of course Teresa Emily Maldonado (Kirkland). This would be a joyous romantic adventure. Ms Alers, keep up the good work.

Rating: Summary: Another Great Story Review: Rochelle Alers continues her Hideaway Series with Heven Sent. She again features very strong characters. Rochelle thoroughly develops the characters right before our eyes. If you have read other stories by Rochelle Alers, the Hideway Series is by far the best. All the men and women of Hideaway are strong personalities on their own. Combined in exotic stories, they are soul-stirring. Weather you are looking for an ethic romance story or just a great story, you will love this series.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful Review: This book touched my soul, what a beautiful and passionate romance. Every one deserves such a wonderful romance. Rochelle Alers outdid herself this time!

Rating: Summary: The best and the last of the great Hideaway series Review: To quote my review of this book in Affaur de cour, "This is one of the greatest love stories ever told". All of the heroes and heroines from the first three books in the Hideaway series were present, Martin Cole from Hideaway, Matt Sterling from Hidden Agenda, Joshua Kirkland from Vows, and now we get to meet devastatingly super-fine David Cole, baby brothe to Martin and half-brother to Joshua. He is about the make the deal of his life in Port Limon, Costa Rica, a deal that will enable him to pursue his first love, music, when he is detained by a madman. It is David's misfortune to fall in love with Vega-Cordero's beautiful American born step-daughter, Serena Morris. After his "accident", he is convinced she is his angel of mercy sent from heaven as she, a registered nurse guides him back to health. In the ensuing weeks the two fall irrevocably in love. But first some issues must be resolved before they can have a life together. Mainly, Serena's brother Gabriel's arrest in Florida for drug trafficking and murder and the fact that her step-father is hold David hostage. This is a delightful read you can hardly put down.
