Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL Review: What a delicious read! Nothing but Velvet has romance, adventure and drama. I accidentally stumbled on this book when I was in desperate search for a good historical romance, and boy, this was good! The lead characters were wonderful, Jason is a hero to absolutely die for. Velvet was just totally fantastic. The passion, heartache and romance they shared were so real I could feel it. The villain Avery was just that, a real villain! Lucien (the hero in Silk and Steel) is a true loyal friend. Nothing but Velvet is fast paced, full of surprises and very exciting. The story Jason told Velvet at end of the book about his past gave me goose bumps! This is one of the best historical (regency) romances I've ever read. I read this book in 1 day. I just couldn't put it down! You have feel good movies, and this is a feel good book! So buy this book and make sure you have enough time to read this non-stop and enjoy being whisked in the glittering world of Jason Sinclair and Velvet Moran!
Rating: Summary: Nothing But Velvet Review: Wonderful. I bought this book to read on the plane. This is the first time I did not want the plane to land. I think I have found a new author to read
Rating: Summary: A Keeper! Review: Wow! This is the first book by Kat Martin that I've read but I promise, with talent like hers, it will not be my last. This was the story of a young man, Jason Sinclair, heir to the Carlyle dukedom, who is wrongly accused of killing his father. The real killer being his younger half-brother, Avery. After being sentenced to hang but luckily escaping the noose and having a rough time of it for 5 years, he returns to England after 8 years to avenge his father's murder and clear his name. He meets Velvet Moran, his brother's betrothed and abducts her. They can't stop thinking of each other even once they part and upon learning of Jason's situation, Velvet offers her assistance. The book is beautifully written with poignant moments and sensual scenes. Jason has suffered mightily for a crime he never committed, betrayed by both his mistress and his brother, and having lived through hell for the last 5 years, he is embittered but Velvet gets through to him with her selfless love. They make an amazing couple and towards the end there is a roller coaster ride of emotions. You go from tears to a smile within paragraphs. Lucien, Marquess Litchfield, is an amazing character and if he doesn't have his own book - he DESERVES it!
