Summary: Romance, Comedy and a Hot male lead too!
Review: Another great Dara Joy romance but this time with a contemporary theme. If you like a light hearted, funny romance with an attractive strong man and plenty of steamy scenes, then this book is for you. You won't find any fantasy or science fiction in this novel like her Matrix of Destiny series but I loved the interaction between the main characters. She's a kooky reporter and he's a genius at physics and "other things". I have read it many times along with its follow up "High Intensity". Give this novel a chance. It's not like your usual romance.

Summary: I love intelligent men! & Funny Romance!
Review: If you're not into intelligent, hunky physics professors trying to convince slightly ditzy blonde reporters that they should get together with them and get seriously into bed, this is not the book for you. It reminded me of some of the Cary Grant/Debbie Reynolds or Doris Day comedies of the 40's and 50's with alot more steamy sex. I wish the heroine was a little more together, but not everybody is perfect, and that's part of what put's the Comedy in Romantic Comedy.

Summary: Decent Read
Review: I picked this book up after reading Joy's first book, Knight of a Trillion Stars nearly ten years ago (WOW! TIME MOVES FAST). I was a little disappointed with this book because I thought she had taken kooky to a different level. I expected to hear the Addams family theme every time I turned the page. It was okay. Not here best, but I did enjoy the book as a light hearted read. It didn't make my imagination wonder like the Matrix of Destiny books, but it was fun. I give this book 3 stars because there were some pretty hot scenes and overall it was pretty funny.

Summary: This is hands-down, my all-time favourate romance!
Review: This is my first Dara Joy book, and if this is any indication of her writing talent, it won't be my last. This is, hands-down, my all-time favourate romance! It has wit, romance, two very likable main characters and a host of supporting players worthy of their own book. (That's my subtle hint to you, Ms. Joy, if you're reading this -- please write a book for Mills and Gregor! That's a super couple just waiting to happen!) I have had crushes on other heroes before, but Tyber Evans is my perfect man (can I help it if I have a weakness for drop-dead gorgeous rocket scientists with a wicked sense of humor?) Tyber and Zanita (hate their names, but love the couple) remind me of those power couples of the 30's screwball comedies. In fact, they are the Nick and Nora for the 90's! Please, Ms. Joy, consider writing sequels for this couple. I would love to read about their continuing adventures!

If you are looking for a smart, funny contemporary romance HIGH ENERGY is it.

Summary: Not Her Best but Still Fun
Review: If you're looking for a heart-felt, emotional, love story... forget it. This is no traditional boy-meets-girl, love-blossums-despite-obstacles, couple-gets-married-and-have-kids type of romance novel. Instead, it is a fast-physically-attracted, faster-to-bed and into-a-steamy-sex-filled-relationship kind of book. Zanita, a reporter hot on a story, pairs up with Tyber, a hunk of a physicist, to uncover a conman. A lot of kooky secondary characters actually help save this book and make it a fairly fun read. Tyber has a math-genius/nut-case as a cook who thinks he's on a pirate ship & Tyber's the Captain. Zani has an even zanier aunt who is deadly to Tyber's Harley. Then, there's the couple's friends, Greg and Mills; two characters who actually make me wish THEY were the focus of this book's sequel. Sorry, not so lucky: Instead, Tyber and Zanita return for more sex in HIGH INTENSITY. ...

Summary: High Energy is a book worth reading!
Review: If your looking for a funny rommantic book with intriguing
characters and a plot that pulls you in this is it. Ms. Joy
manages to recreate the typical screwball comedy by writing about Tyber,
who tries to convince Zanita to enter into a relationship with him
while dealing with s shady conman named Xavier LaLeche.
This a grater read, worth your time.

Summary: eh........
Review: This book left me cold..I don't know..maybe I've just been spoiled by other books..but ...what a disappointment! The plot to this book was thin and ridiculous..and I had no feelings at all for the characters... I will admit that it had it's moments, but it just barely kept me interested ;if at all.
Definitely not something that I would recommend.

Summary: Saucy and Steamy!!
Review: This was my first Dara Joy novel and I immediately recognized how refreshingly different it is from the other contemporary novels I have been reading lately. The dialogue and characters are fresh and unique. Along with the great passion these characters shared, I just loved the humor and how they could laugh at themselves. Right off the bat, the way they met was totally hilarious! Zanita is a reporter investigating a bogus psychic healer, and while doing research she blunders the spelling and signs up for a Physics class. That's totally something I would do! A good thing she did, because physics professor Dr. Tyberious Evans is immediately enthralled with her. This was a fun and easy read, I highly recommend it!!

Summary: Very Hot! Great Book!
Review: Well I now must consider Dara Joy one of my favorite authors. I have loved her Matrix of Destiny series but this book and the sequel High Intensity blew me away. This is the story of reporter Zanita Masterson, a reporter for a local paper who wants to take a seminar on Psychics to expose a fake who is preying on sick women. She accidently ends up taki9ng the seminar taught by Physicist Tyberius Augustus Evans, or Tyber to his friends. She soon realizes her mistake but by then its too late. He has spotted her and is determined to make her his. He is a drop dead gorgeous hunk who looks like a pirate not a scientist. She can't seem to stay away from him and when she tells him of her quest to uncover the fake psychic he agrees to help her. There are some really great secondary characters that make this book a whole lot of fun. I would even like to see two of them get their own story. This story is full of laughter and steamy scenes that almost burned the pages. I will definately read this book and its sequel time and time again. Buy this book!

Summary: A book sure to make your ribs hurt
Review: Dara Joy is not one of those slow lead in kind of authors and boy does this book start quick. I was snickering chuckling and out right groaning from the bad puns by page 25 and by page 50 my ribs hurt. It is a real frolic and something to make you smile.
