Summary: fun contemporary road rally romance
Review: In Florida, as Cade Nyland, whose family owns national Action Auto parts, is backing his vintage Sting Ray into a spot, TZ Blake opens the door to her classic Mustang. Both learn that two objects cannot share the same space. She gives him a card to get his vehicle fixed at All Tune and Lube where she says she has a running account, but fails to tell him she owns the place. At Chugger Charlie's, TZ enters the tight butt competition because she needs the first prize cash to keep her garage open. Cade is one of the judges. Cade offers TZ 20K and part of the winnings if she agrees to be his mechanic-navigator because he needs someone to ride with him on the SunCoast Run race. He refuses to let her explain that she cannot read a map.

Nothing goes right during the drive yet Cade and TZ somehow remain competitive with a solid chance of winning. As they bounce along the Florida coast, they fall in love. Neither expects a relationship once the road rally ends that is if they ever finish the obstacle course.

This contemporary road rally romance is a fun drive due to a fine lead couple and a delightful support crew (except for one unnecessary embezzler who makes the race impossible). TZ's navigator skills are so bad that they could just as easily end up in the Carolinas, but her wrench turning skills are A+ gender bending delight. The love between the driving lead couple entertains the audience as does a seemingly doomed romance between a wonderful secondary driving pair. Kate Angell takes the checkered flag with this fine romantic race.

Summary: An Award of Excellence Winner for Best Contemporary Romance
Review: In Kate Angell's second book (Calder's Rose was last years delight), she gives us another unusual storyline and two very vivid and delightful characters, showing such strong craft in writing.

TZ Blake inherited two things from her aunt - an auto repair business and a 67 Mustang with a distinctive shimmy and a personality a lot like auntie-dearest. Varoooooom!! TZ is in a bind; the business was left with a lot of debts and in order to save it she has to go to lengths that raises eyebrows - such as entering Chugger Charlie's "hard buns" contest. After all, the fee is $5000. Only, she ties with her best friend Kimmie, so she really needs more money - quick.

Just before the contest, TZ ran into Cade Nyland, the famous race-car driver - literally, his Stingray and her Mustang get stuffed up. She was embarrassed to find out he is to be one of the judges for the contest. She could tell he was NOT impressed when she shook her "buns" and then kissed him trying to draw attention from all the other contestants. When Noland shows up in her dressing room after the contest, he makes her an offer -and not one she expected. He is driving in a cross-country road rally, needs a mechanic and TZ is the best around. After a little hissing, they finally settle on a price - with TZ "forgetting" to mention she cannot read a rally map. (I have been in a couple of these rallies and Angell captures them to a T!)

On the morning of the rally, things get off to a rocky start. Another contestant cut the brakes on Cade's Stingray, so he begs to use the Mustang. They just make it in time, and Cade and TZ are off to flying start, along with Kimmie in another car determined to convince the drive to marry her, a three-time "black widow" just itching to hook Cade and land him in her bed, and various other oddballs.

But the real chase is the one TZ is giving Cade! It's another tale with rapid-fire repartee, between two characters that leap off the pages and steal your heart! Not to mention a Mustang that has a mind of its own!

Angell's books keep you smiling long after you put them down.

Summary: a really great time!
Review: My big sister is always trying to boss me around. One of the way is to send me books and then demand I read them. Like she knows what books I will enjoy. This books is a riot! I hurt myself laughing. I loved the hot buns contest, the road rally, the nutty car that is really auntie who won't more on! But they romance between Mick and the gal in the pink caddy takes the cake.

Okay, sometimes big sisters do know best!

Summary: get on your mark, get set for great fun!
Review: My little sister recommended both of Angell's book. And WOW! I have never laughed so hard. This is a saucey book, with great characters, not jsut the two very sexy leads, but the whole "cast", even this shivering-shakey Mustage with a mind of it's own.

This is one of the best books I have read all year.

Summary: VaVaVoooom
Review: Ok, hero meets heroine in a tight butt contest, earning her the nickname "Sweet Cheeks" throughout the remainder of the story. What a set up for a romantic comedy! When Cade Nyland needs a mechanic to ride along in the Suncoast Rally race, who better to approach than the best mechanic in the area -- TZ Blake -- let's just say the engine isn't the only thing hot in this book. Cade Nyland is to die for.
Favorite scenes? Two words: Seagulls & Jacuzzi. Read the book, 'nuff said.
Along with a cast of character (including two other sub-romances, and a Mustang with a mind of her own), Cade and TZ make their way across Florida in this gut-splitting book. For those who like comedy and steamy romance, Kate Angell is an author to try.

Summary: first one across the line wins!
Review: Road Rallies are fun. Sort of came of Clue on Wheels. And talented Angell captures the whole bit of madness perfectly. A zany cast of characters that are vividly brought to life under her words, keeps you hooked from start to finish. Toss in a car from the Twilight Zone and you have one great read.

Summary: a want a car like that!
Review: Such a feel good ride from start to finish. My first book by Angell, but definiately not my last. The characters are so charming and heartstealing!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a fun book
Review: This book had me laughing. From page one to the finish line, it's filled with quirky original characters. The road race was a riot, sort of like Cannonball Express and Gumball Rally, but focused on the people in the cars. Just a great read from a talented writer.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: VAROOOOOOOOOM!!
Review: This book is SO FUN!! It's a saucy, sexy cross country trek across Florida where just winning the rally soon comes second to all the romances going on in the cars. The characters are delightful, and so REAL...I just love Cade and TZ, but they are nearly eclipsed by the secondary characters. So many writers often miss developing the secondary people in the book and often that are what add the rich, special "texture" to the plot.

You don't get any better than this. I laughed! Never have I sat with a stupid big smile on my face as I did reading this book. Only one problem...MORE BOOK Miss Angell!! I am dying!! Need another fix!!

Calder's Rose and Drive Me Crazy has made me a number 1 fan.
