Rating: Summary: Entertaining Quick Read Review: This book was a great little "quickie" while I was between other novels. Do not expect it to be Sex and the City and you Bridget Jones fans will probably be let down. But it was far more realistic than I would like to admit. Ahhh...the naive mistakes people make when fame knocks on the door. Trust me...it can happen! (unfortunately) Don't look at the book to be bigger than it is, and you'll enjoy it as I did.
Rating: Summary: Definitely not Bridget but an okay interim read Review: I was looking for something to get me out of my post-Bridget slump and this wasn't really it. The main character is someone you WON'T feel sympathy for at all (in fact, you'll wonder why the "hero," Orlando Rock, has feelings for her at all!), kind of like Ally McBeal, you'll want to slap her around a bit. And then there is this strange, totally non-consistent, omniscient narrator thing that pops in at the weirdest moments. It just doesn't work. But if you're post Bridget and looking for something to keep you busy in the meantime, this is okay.
Rating: Summary: don't bother Review: I liked "Bridget Jones," loved "Watermelon," but found this book to be utterly insipid.
Rating: Summary: Most Enjoyable Review: I bought this book b/c I've been loveless. But this book is a good pick me up that gives hope to everyone. Witty, and romantic. Excalent book, a must read.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put It Down! Review: I loved this book. It was fun, smart, energetic, and down right lovable. I couldn't stop reading it and stayed up til 4am to get it done. It's a fast read, but you can savor every page and know that you have been treated with the enternal thoughts and feelings of a girl just like anyother. We can only hope to meet "our" prince charming as our lovely main character did....and, maybe he'll even be a movie star.
Rating: Summary: finally, a fun and romantic book ! Review: This was a wonderful book, I would recomend it to anyone looking for a sweet book that just brings you up. Once you get into this book, which doesn't take long, you absolutely can't put it down! You will get so caught up in the sweet and exciting romance of Orlando and Amy, you'll wish it was happening to you. It isn't one of those dissappointing books that gets you all happy and then drops you off a cliff, it is sweet and ends just the way you want it to. This book sweetens up life and reminds you of the good times you know you've had. This book was great! A quick read too!
Rating: Summary: Fabulous Review: This book was simply so much fun. I loved it. Funny, touching and sweet. It's a must read.
Rating: Summary: Notting Hill with a twist Review: I am a fifeteen year old girl and I loved this book! It is so cute and funny. My favorite movie is Notting Hill and this is so much like it. I would recomend this book to anyone who is bored and needs a light pick me up.
Rating: Summary: Utterly funny and entertaining!!! Review: I was browsing the book catalog at Amazon.com and saw Love: A User's Guide and the sypnosis seemed interesting. This book is amazing, I couldn't put it down and the leading actress seemed so real and her naivette ways makes you have a sense of compassion toward her. She seemed shallow and wanted to be seen dating a famous actor--- but I was pleasantly surprised that she was actually in love with him even if his popularity had something to do with it. The one thing I found unrealistic about the book was that "Orlando Rock"-- the actor seemed just a little too normal when it comes to his lifestyle. Yes, his wish to have a private life and wanting to live a normal life seemed understanding and I'm sure celebs do the same thing, but where was the publicist? The manager? All those people that are constantly after a celebrity?? With the only exception of the paparatzzi chasing after them, I feel the author should have added that more superficial area that celebrities have to be forced to live in. But other than that, it is a great read, I'd recommend it to anyone!!
Rating: Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK Review: This book came up as a recommendation from amazon.com so I thought I would check it out...I could NOT put this book down. It definitely appeals to the star struck girl in us. If you ever had a crush on a rock star or an actor and dreamed of fantasy dates you will loves this. Plus the author is very smart and gives the heroine Amy a great brain and a lot of great lines. This is not to say she's perfect, we get to wallow in some misery with her but in all a great character...once you pick this up you won't be able to put it down. I hope Miss Naylor churns out another novel- quick.
