Summary: Another fan of Kathleen Givens
Review: I really enjoyed the book. Givens has the talent to tug at your heart strings. I enjoyed how she incorporated the supporting characters into the storyline. I have also read The Wild Rose of Kilgannon. Although I haven't heard if she plans to expand into a series involving the supporting characters, she has some very strong supporting characters that have a story of their own just waiting to be told.

I am a huge fan of Diana Gabaldon (Outlander Series), and If you loved her books, then you will definately love these books. They are truly are great read. They have just enough history and just enough fiction to make it come to life and truly enjoyable!

Summary: I really liked these books
Review: I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up Kathleen Givens's Kilgannon and Wild Rose of Kilgannon. I'd expected a typical romance, but what I got was a wonderful first-person story of one woman's life, from her innocent days in London to her world-weary return to her home. Beautifully written, with lush descriptions and great historical detail, these two books kept me up until the wee hours. If you want a book with graphic sex, or perhaps a plot involving a homosexual sadistic obsession, then these are not for you. If you want a book that shows a woman's growth and love through some extraordinary times, then grab these! They are written for adults - not because of the sexual content, but because of the mature themes. I loved them both. Ms. Givens, please give us more of this story! Alex and Mary are haunting me!

Summary: Stirred Emotions
Review: I'm the biggest Diana Gabaldon and Sara Donati fan there is, but neither of them can strike my emotions as well as Ms. Givens. I actually felt what her characters felt, and cried when they cried. Now THAT is captivating the reader. It's a must read!

Summary: Seeking Gabeldon or Donati
Review: If you are seeking an adventure/romance novel to tied you over while you wait for the next Gabeldon or Donati novel don't bother with this one. I found the characters flat and the story uncompelling.

Summary: Better than Average Romance
Review: In a genre that seems to sport a kilt in almost every other book, this one is more firmly rooted in the historical background of the time in which it takes place. The hero is average, the heroine distinguishes herself by not being an [dummy], and the standard misunderstandings that accompany most romance novels seem more realistic. The historical part doesn't have the exquisite detail or accuracy ... but this novel is far above average for a first-time effort.

Summary: This may be slightly bias as it's my favourite book!
Review: Killgannon a superbly written paperback is set during the period of 1712. The romantic love novel set in both England and Scotland, was based upon two main characters, Alex Killgannon being a Earl of Scotland, a tall, blonde, traditional Scotsman, handsome in every way, whilst in London on business meets the fair Miss Lowell, a young adventurous soul. As she first spots Alex, entering the ballroom at a party she recognises him instantly as the man her friend had described, in her opinion he was: "Lean and graceful, his shoulders wide, his legs long, the muscles visible under dark socks below the kilt." She gradually realises her feelings and goes out of her way to keep Killgannon for herself, although he too has noticed her, and does not need much persuasion to fall for her. Their love grows as they become more intimate and go through much to be together, through arguments and muggings their love still grows. The ending, left on an edge for the sequel, is touching, passionate and electrifying, he leaves her for business but promises to return after making wild passionate love through the night. The book, written in the first person, told by miss Lowell takes you through all your feelings brewing up inside, the torrents of tears you let out as you read through the starry-eyed journey taking you through the ups and downs of this rampant love affair, Kathleen Givens moves through the book building on your views on the characters, Alex at times comes across as a foolish, mucky, vile man, but although those in the book dislike him you know that it is not the real feelings you should have, you know that behind the hard exterior is a soft loving man. In my opinion this book has the most exhilarating story line, creating an idealistically subtle but frustratingly heart racing atmosphere. This is a first-rate, exceptionally excellent book.

Summary: A must read book

Everyone who enjoys reading about the Scottish people and their ways will love this book. I recommend it to everyone! Way to go Kathleen!!! Keep them coming. I will be looking for more.
