Rating: Summary: Going Way Overboard Review: Although there were parts of this book I enjoyed, I can not recommend this book. I thought the book started out promising and interesting, but I quickly became irritated. As one reviewer mentioned, it was confusing to follow at times. The dialogue didn't always flow together into a coherent conversations. I also had to reread parts to make sure I hadn't missed a sentence (paragraph?). There were also times that I wasn't sure of the characters movements--were they still in the cabin, on the dance floor, for example. As another reviewer mentioned, the plot started getting very implausible about 1/3 of the way into it. And, finally, the editing problem another reviewer mentioned that caused a character to deliver prematurely at 11 months, was a bit confusing, too. If you would like to read Christina Skye books, I would recommend the Draycott Abbey books, which in my opinion are much better.
Rating: Summary: Going Way Overboard Review: Although this story was not as great as My Spy by the same author it was still good and worth a mention. Izzy apears in this story as well. Navy Seal Ford Mckay does not know what he is in for when he is approached my Carly. He thinks she is offering to pay him for sex, she is offering to pay him to be a model for her ad advertisement that she is working on. Of course there are bumps along the way murder and misunderstanding! Don't miss this one.

Rating: Summary: Another winning novel by Christina Skye Review: At sea, photographer Carly Sullivan desperately seeks a photogenic hunk to fulfill her contract with the cruise line after her model fails her. Carly and her temporary assistant and closest friend Daphne Brandon ogle all men over the age of sixteen, but find no one until they see an individual who oozes elegance.Carly offers money to Ford McKay, but he misinterprets what she wants and refuses to bed her for even $750 an hour. Navy SEAL Ford is undercover with orders from DC to protect a Carolina Sullivan. Apparently, death threats to the governor-general of the Caribbean island Santa Marina and his family and their friends have led to the need for round the clock protection. Daphne is the daughter of the governor-general, which means the killers are probably on board too. Ford accepts Carly's modeling job even as he feels she is just a spoiled rich woman. However, as the threats to Carly and Daphne turn real, Ford reassesses his opinion of her while they fall in love. GOING OVERBOARD is an entertaining romantic suspense romp that never slows down. The story line is filled with action and amusing encounters between Ford and Carly, a warm couple that the audience will adore. The return of a secondary player from a previous novel adds to the enjoyment of the audience. Christina Skye has written another winner. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: Awesome author! Review: Governor-General of Santa Marina, Nigel Brandon, had been receiving threats against his family. Worried for his biological and adopted daughters, he took measures to protect them without their knowledge of anything being amiss. Carolina (Carly) Sullivan loved her adopted family thoroughly. She considered them her real family. But Carly was as addicted to her photography as her biological mother had been before her death. Carly was now shooting a series of commercials for a Caribbean cruise line. She was a stubborn, hot headed, and determined woman who pushed herself past all limits to be the best! Her sister, Daphne Brandon, assisted her and tried to make sure Carly ate and slept if nothing else. The model for the shoot turned out to be a dud. The only possible replacement on the ship refused the job. She had to somehow convince him to work for her at least temporarily. SEAL Commander Ford McKay had been pulled from another assignment and ordered to protect Carly. This meant he would have to take the modeling job with the irritating red head that he had just turned down. As much as he hated it, orders were orders. Soon her amazing spirit and dedication to her loved ones and work had him changing all his opinion of her. They seemed to always get under each other's skin though. But when someone began trying to kill Carly, Ford put his deadly training to use! ***** Best story I have had the pleasure of reading in a long time! Alluring, romantic, subtly humorous, and loaded with fun and action, this novel is an instant best seller! Highly recommended! ***** Reviewed by Detra Fitch
Rating: Summary: Another Winner ! Review: I fell for Christina Skye after '2000 Kisses' so I bought 'Going Overboard' automatically. I knew it was a book I would read and enjoy... and boy, was I right ! Ms. Skye's charactres always seem SO vibrant and real, you almost feel like you could pick up the phone and call them. In 'Overboard', Carly and Mc Kay were no exception. Carly is the workaholic photographer haunted by the similarities to her deceased mother that she is only now discovering in herself. Mc Kay is the too-gorgeous-to-be-true hunk who bails her out of a jam professionally, and then risks his life to protect her when some slimey Russians take greed and revenge too far. Of course, being a Navy SEAL helps. As usual, the course of true love is anything but smooth, and the pair find themselves caught in the middle of a dangerous swirl of murder and deception. Basically, this book has everything. Looking for romance? Got it. Mystery? Check. Side-splitting dialogue and sharp witted sexual tension? Bingo. This book is everything we buy romantic suspense for. Don't wait. Click on the 'order' icon now. You won't regret it. Note to Ms. Skye . . . any chance of catching up with Daphne Brandon in future books ?We would love to see wht her future holds =:)
Rating: Summary: Sexy Hero on a Cruise Ship! Whew.... Review: I loved the hero Ford McKay. He was sexy and had just the right mixture of sex appeal and wit to make him believable and to drool over, he he he...I wasn't too crazy about the heroine, which is unusual, she was a little too needy for my tastes and kinda irritating, not sure completely why. ~Ford McKay finds himself onboard a cruise ship with lots of beautiful women and one woman in particular who wants him to pose for her as her 'replacement model' on short notice for some shoot she needs ASAP! Ford is on a secret mission with the Navy SEALS and has no time to waste playing 'Mr. Pinup', but his mind is soon changed when the government orders him to participate in anything and everything Ms. Carly Sullivan asks of him, because SHE is his mission. Carly is a no-nonsense woman with no time to play games or to stop and smell the roses. She is on a serious deadline and needs a replacement model ASAP or she will lose the account! Soon she spots a gorgeous man swimming in the deck pool and she knows instantly HE is the ONE! When she asks him however he misunderstands her intentions and they get off on the wrong foot! Now she must patch up their misunderstandings so she can convince him to pose for her. What Ford and Carly find is not just sun and fun on the ship, but guns and terrorism around them involving government cover-ups and political gain. Ford finds his mission to protect her becomes personal and his hardened heart and busy life just took on another obstacle when he lets her in. This is a definate beach book and lots of fun! A quick read and worth the time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the heroine could've been less annoying and not so much baggage to sift through in order to know her. All in all, a great read from Ms. Skye.
