Rating: Summary: j65bryan Review: I love this series! The most frustrating thing about it is that she has left us hanging with a lot of unanswered questions. I can't help but think that even if she did happen to finish it, the book would not be as well written as these were. But even so, I would love to have a conclusion! Any Conclusion!
Rating: Summary: An excellent combination of Romance and Sci-Fi Review: I started in the middle of this series a few years back. I am an avid fan of Sci-Fi yet I still have the all too female urge for romance. I have read several novels which have tried to combine these two disparate genres but until I read Ann Maxwell's Dancer series I was alway left a little disappointed. This series is a complete mesh of the 2 styles. It's not just a "romance novel in outer space". If you like both of these genres then you will love this series.
Rating: Summary: Please finish up this series Review: I too read this series in the early 1980's and have been waiting impatiently for a completion (even wrote a letter to the author). While one could probably extrapolate a bit on the Rheba/Bren outcome, since I have a sf interest I am particularly interested in the future development of the Bahrain Construct which keeps reconstructing itself with crystals as the series progresses.
Rating: Summary: sci-fi/romance Review: I'm amazed how many *other* people still care about these books. I read them as a girl in the early 80s and have never forgotten them. I found a copy of fire dancer in a used bookstore several years ago and am just reading it for the fifth or sixth time. I still like it as much as I did as a child. She's so original. The characters are great -- the snake, "rainbow," the j/taals.
Rating: Summary: Dancer's Illusion Review: O.K...I'm not too proud...I WILL BEG!! I am begging Ms. Maxwell, I have waited years...and I need another installment or at least a conclusion to this series...You have a great story here...please continue it for all of us sci-fi and romance addicts out here...
Rating: Summary: Very Good! Review: Of all the "Dancer's" serie books of Maxwell, this one is I think the second best. I'm a great fan of Maxwell, and thought the book is well writen, the action is well paced, the end chapters is awesome... something was missing. I kept wondering when Maxwell would give us more information about all the mystery between the two races. It's true that she gave us some new glimpses, with the little boy (sorry I forget his name) and his protector (again sorry, a blank spot!) I just hope that something major will happen in the next book of that serie and I do hope there will be another one? Please Ms Maxwell.
Rating: Summary: Shows the reality of dealing with illusion Review: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE write another Dancer book!
Rating: Summary: Dancers Illusion Review: The third book in the Fire Dancer series. It is an excellent series with strong, well written characters, and this book leaves you dying for more. I wish Ann Maxwell would hurry up and write another one! I want to find out what is happening with Rheba and Kirtn
