  Summary: A fun Read
Review: I loved this book because it captured the true essence of living in a large city - the need to succeed in the corporate world, the difficulties of an annoying roomate, and the need to find true love. It was an easy read (although the time frame did get a bit confusing at times) and i enjoyed it. Justine's cold-heartedness and Barry's awkward mistakes gave the characters dimensions that i can relate to.

Summary: Fun read, bitter busy single people can find happness
Review: Loved the book. I wanted it to be longer. If you are recently single or think you are going to be single forever this is the book for you. I could relate to these real characters. Fun big city book.

  Summary: A waste of time
Review: This book seemed like an easy read but I had to try very hard to enjoy it. The reason why I continued reading was because I was desperately hoping something interesting would turn out; half the time I did not know who was doing what and where. It is quite a process to have to figure out if the characters were in the present or past thus making it very confusing.

Summary: If you're single with a big-city perspective...
Review: then this is your book! A friend pressed this book on me, and I ended up laughing out loud as I read. After skimming other readers' reviews, it seems like the city dwellers (especially the NYC residents) found this particularly good, me included. It's damn funny if you're in the right frame of mind--Justine can be quite annoying at times, but you have to love her bad side! All that nastiness and she still gets the guy!

Summary: Random notes about 2 annoying people
Review: This book did not do anything for me. Both characters were so incredibly annoying, I found it a chore to read. I guess that's true love, they deserve each other.

Summary: Why read a book about people you don't like?
Review: This was an easy read, which was the only reason why I finished it. I didn't like any of the characters. They were obnoxious and boring. Why the two protagonists fall in love is not understandable, they are both so annoying. Most of the supporting characters are worse. If the writer could come up with some likeable characters for her next book it might be fun because she has a rather readable style.

Summary: Witty, sharp and thoroughly addictive
Review: I absolutely enjoyed this book! Ms. Block captured the spirit of big-city, professional, 30-somethings who are striving to leave their mark careerwise while finding fulfillment in their personal lives. Achieving that perfect balance is most often as crazy and tragically funny a search as that of Justine and Barry's. The only fault I find with this book is not letting us see what happened with the roommate...maybe a sequel?

Summary: was entertaining enough to finish :-)
Review: It's an easy read about contemporary work/relationships/parents/what-not stuff.

Summary: What a waste of time
Review: I'm writing this to try to save others from making the mistake I made in buying this book. I honestly tried to enjoy it, and continued reading desperately hoping it would take a turn for the better. It became more and more confusing, and new plotlines were added that were irrelevant and bland. What an incredible waste of time.

  Summary: All Over The Place
Review: The book wasn't horrible, but half the time I did not know who was doing what and where. The time line was bad, it would take a while to figure out if the charactors were in the present or past. Also who were all these other people that I did not care one bit about. I did not know how they where related to the main charactors at all. Except that they were in the book and somehow had some connection with them, BUT WHAT. It was an easy read and not the worst book I ever read. It is perfect for the summer. Just a book to take up time and it will not make you think in anyway at all. Which is sometimes all you need.
