Rating: Summary: Loved this book!! Review: This book was the best thing I had read in a long time. It is a story about love and romance, taking place in the early 20th century in Vermont. It is the story of a woman and her relationship with twins, first as children and playmates, and then later as her husband and her brother-in-law. The emotions run high in this book as the main character Lily determines how she feels for Oren and Ian, and whether she has made the right choice in marrying Oren. This author captures the essence of Lily's mind in determining how to deal with town scandals, birth, death, and life. Looking forward to more works from this author!!

Rating: Summary: Engaging storytelling! I want more. Review: This is one of the two best books I've read recently (the other is Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones). It sucks you right in and offers a wonderful sense of mystery (the relationship between the twins is quite mysterious), along with a great story. This book easily could have been a disaster in lesser hands. Romance, twins, historical setting...it's all elements for melodrama in someone else's book. But in this one, it all weaves together brilliantly. Perhaps the highest praise for a first novel, Mr. Corriveau knows when NOT saying anything is far more interesting than telling you too much. He's got the balance just right. BTW - I just recommended this to my friend for her bookclub. This one is perfect for reading and discussing.
Rating: Summary: First one's a charm....... :) Review: This is the first book by this Author and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I loved the Characters, Lily, Oren, Ian and Hallie ( even though I would have loved to see her really get into becoming a B..... more than she did. I would have like to see the ending really end like the main character wanted it to, but I guess he wrote the book I didn't. LOL- It still was a enjoyable read, and I liked it very much. Ellen
Rating: Summary: Absolutly wonderful book! Review: What a wonderful read! I wanted to read this book because of the time period and the setting in Vermont. I didn't realize that I would be thrown back in time, right beside Lily, Oren & Ian. The rich, detailed rundown of the book was amazing. I cried the last couple of pages when Lilly wasn't sure that she married the right man. I knew exactly what she was going through and it ripped my heart apart to see that. I breathed a sigh of relief when she knew she was meant to be with Oren. I wish the book went on and on; I wanted to see if Lilly and Oren would finally talk again once Oren woke up. But, I understand that you have to end somewhere and sometime. I can't wait till the author's next book. I'm hoping it is along the lines of "Housewrights"!
