Rating: Summary: Now this is my favorite book! Review: As I said previously for St. John,'s Lady of Valour, I am in awe of this author. But mostly i'm peeved for not discovering her sooner, but at least I did. :) This is a more tempestutous book that Lady, but just as fine, just as poignant. Lord of Vengeance is a book you do not want to miss, whether you read romance or not! I am sure this book will change your mind or at least give you hours of reading pleasure. Gunnar and Raina were absolutely delightful and the way he grew and changed in the face of true love after losing so much in his life, was a joy to read and live. I wish the book were longer!! Fantastic job. I cannot wait to meet Ms. St. John in person! Thank you.

I blazed thru LORD OF VENGEANCE in a couple of days and was very sorry when I came to the end. Tina St. John has written an emotional, fast paced story packed with action and romance and so many wonderful characters. I felt like I was right there with Gunnar and Raina the whole time, and I just adored Alaric (Gunnar's squire) and even crotchety old Agnes! If you like the medievals of Lynn Kurland or Elizabeth Elliot, you're going to love Tina St. John! And I'm so glad to see she has a new one out next month! Keep them coming, Ms. St. John!

And when Raina d'Bussy entered the scene, proud and nobel, she captured my heart as well. Fast paced with page turning chapters kept me glued right up to its heart-warming end. This book left me with the knowledge that true love spans all times and truly avails. Tina St. John has mastered the craft of writing and will be on the scene for a long time to come! She weaves wonderfully spun tales to escape with and leaves you with a smile on your face.
Rating: Summary: A Medieval romance from the Heart!! Review: I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful this book made me fee. It's a beautiful medieval tale in every sense in that the hero, Gunnar Rutledge, so brimming with hatred and vengeance and angst, especially in the beginning of LOV, changes his destructive path because of the gentle, sweet as well as fiery love of his heroine, Raina, his enemy's daughter. The writing is excellent and so is the story. I don't want to give away the plot, but if you're looking for a fun, exciting historical romance told with a fresh voice, LORD OF VENGEANCE will sweep you right off your feet, your toes, your whatever! Ten stars for Tina St. John! I can't wait for her next book!

I couldn't put it down. Gunnar was definitely the hero of my dreams, and Raina, his perfect lady love. When these two are together, the sparks fly and the temperature goes through the roof!! Rating: Summary: A Fabulous First Book! Review: Lord of Vengeance was a compelling and emotional novel with wonderful characters, a believable plot, and of course, a happy end. Gunnar wishes to get revenge in Raina's father for the murder of both his mother and father and for leaving Gunnar barely alive without parents or a home, only with a burning desire for vengeance. This goal in mind, he goes to a tournament planning to challenge Luther (Raina's father) and there meets Raina, who he does not know is the daughter of his enemy. Gunnar is moved by Raina's beauty and innocence but has more important things to worry about, like killing Luther. He almost does until Raina throws herself in front of her father, so Gunnar leaves with the promise of eventual revenge. Through a series of attacks, Gunnar gets into Raina's home hoping to find Luther but only comes across Raina, and he takes her away with him. Over time Gunnar learns to love and Raina teaches him while she comes to the truth about her father and his past. Both the characters were endearing. Gunnar needed a kind, loving woman like Raina to make him let go of his long desired vengeance. Raina's point of view on the subject was understandable but she was also able to feel compassion for the boy Gunnar had been and for the man he had become. They were a perfect pair and their story was a pleasure to read. I look forward to many other wonderful medievals by St. John. Happy Reading!
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Read Review: My heart broke for the young Gunnar and then for the tortured soul he was before he met Raina. In the very capable hands of Ms. St. John, theirs was a beautiful love story and very believable example of the triumph of the human spirit and that love does conquer all. This is a book to sigh over and be swept away to another time. I enjoyed every page and am anxiously awaiting her next one.
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars are not enough! Review: This book has it all. Romance, passion, suspense, excitement, humor, and great love scenes. Gunnar and Raina are a very believable couple. Gunnar is a powerful knight, but not inhumanly untouchable. Raina is innocent, but she has courage and strength. They don't fall in love too fast, nor are you made to wait until the last pages for their relationship to blossom. When they do come together, they are magic. You can't help but feel joy for them. Gunnar is a proud knight, and the Lord of his castle. He is brave and strong, but his soul is lost in a quest for vengeance against the man who slew his parents. His heart and his life are changed forever when innocent Raina gives him her favor at a tournament of local knights. To his dismay, he finds out that she is the daughter of the very man he seeks to kill. As a man of honor, Gunnar refuses to take the man's life in any way other than a man to man battle. To insure that Raina's father will meet him in battle, Gunnar steals her away to his humble castle. All the while, another nemesis seeks to destroy both Gunnar and Raina's father. What will become of them all? You'll have to read the book to find out! At 325 pages, I still read this book in one day... because I simply could not put it down. Never boring, you'll enjoy the fierce sword battles, romantic loves scenes, and humorous antics of Gunnar's knights.
