Summary: Great imagination
Review: Not quite a ghost story, not quite a romance, not quite a suspense book, but quite a story. Marc Levy spins a wonderful tale, full of imagination. Pick it up for a fun summer read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Light reading for light days.
Review: Arthur is a young architect who just moved into a new apartment. One evening he discovers a woman hiding in his bathroom closet. The woman - Lauren - is surprised Arthur can see and hear her. She tells Arthur that her physical body is in a coma and has been for six months. Her "spirit" was somehow separated from her body. Arthur doesn't believe her at first, but pays a visit to the hospital and finds her body. They get to know each other better and soon fall in love, but it doesn't last long. Lauren learns that her body is to be disconnected from the feeding tube and she will die. Arthur promises to help save her and that's when the fun begins...

This book is very well-written. It reminded me of "Message in a Bottle" by Nicholas Sparks. The writing style and the story are both very similar, although "If Only It Were True" is not as tragic as "Message." It's a very quick read - just over 200 pages long. I devoured it in an evening. Even if you're not a fan of romances, you should still try this one. It's sweet and guaranteed to leave a smile on your face, but it's not so full of sap that you will feel ill afterwards. There is a very interesting sub-plot concerning Arthur's mother; I would have almost liked to read more about it, but there was just enough to explain things and not so much that it overshadowed the actual story. The only problem with the book is that the character of Lauren wasn't nearly as well-developed as the character of Arthur. This is a minor point and you don't notice it much while reading it. "If Only It Were True" is a perfect summer read, so run to your local library and find a copy!

Summary: good....
Review: The story was a little more of soap operaish but I did like the story only it is too slow about Arthur's mom. But It's a great buy! Lauren suffers an anmesia and finds herself in Arthur's closet but Arthur is the only person who can see her, hear her, talk to her so Arthur must find a way to stop Lauren's doctors agreeing to do euthanasia to Lauren's unconsious body and destroy their bond...

Summary: an enchanting little read
Review: Lauren is a doctor who is thrown into a coma after a car accident. Arthur is the architect who rents her apartment from her mother, not knowing what had happened to the previous inhabitant. Then Lauren's spirit appears to Arthur and asks him to help her out of her coma. Thus starts an unlikely romance and the rush to save a young woman before her mom pulls the plug on her.

The story is written in a light imaginative style, and the situations that arise are like non you have ever seen before. Marc Levy demonstrates amazing wit. I can't wait to see what he writes next!

Summary: Good first novel.. will be a fun movie!!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I thought is was a cute and funny story. Can't wait to see the movie!
I gave it a 4* only because I thought it could use more romance and I definetly wish it were longer. Great light reading!

Summary: very good book, but is it too magical?
Review: Basically this book is about a girl who got a bad accident and when her body's in a coma in the hospital, her spirit's dating a guy. Cool huh? And the story goes on about how much the guy wants to save her from dying and everythin'. Everybody knows that this book has an impossible stories. But if you just let urself get into it and enjoy the book, I guess its gonna be a perfect book for you! Cause this book has a magical plot. sometimes, however, when you get into the real world, ur gonna think its ridiculous. So i suggest this book to those people who actually can imagine things and drifted into the dreamworld!! Have fun on experimenting....

Summary: A Wonderful Book
Review: This book deserves many more good words then it got so i decdied to let you guys know how wonderful this book really is. I loved this book and all sappyness. Athough you can tell from the beginning what will happen between the main characters, you are interested to see how it will work. The best part is how Lauren seems to give up and Authur wont let her. The ending is a suprise and although it seems to be predicatable it does have a twist which isnt easy to figure out. This book is so uplifting, id recommend it to anyone who just wants a book to enjoy.

Summary: Please disconnect the sugar!!
Review: Like many of the other reviewers, I got this book on tape (from the library, thank goodness!)because I thought the premise sounded interesting and fun. I knew it would be light and fluffy, and I don't mind that, but this thing gets so bogged down in stuffy, unrealistic dialogue and all this serious junk about Arthur's childhood. Personally, I think his mother sounded like a complete weirdo. His childhood stuff detracted from the main story, and, in my opinion, was completely unnecessary to the story. The conversations between Lauren and Arthur were just too soap-operaish. Nobody talks like that in real life! When Lauren "disappeared" from his apartment, I found myself telling Arthur to "suck it up!". I only listened all the way through so that I could find out the ending. Do yourself a favor, skip this book. There is so much better reading out there!!

Summary: If Only It Were True - what a story!!!
Review: This is the best book that I've read lately (next to Message in a Bottle - N Sparks). For me, it was definitely a page turner. I must say I was surprised with the ending. I'm anxiously awaiting Marc's next book. Great reading!!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Nice, brief, sweet moment.
Review: Marc Levy manage himself to be really a hit box. This is the kind of story that helps to forget about reality and submit you into a beautiful fantasy. A good mix between suspense, fiction, humour, and love. Nice salad of feelings between a suposed to be ghost of a patience in coma, and the only guy that can see her. Is a book you'll read and laugh in about 2 hours. Those who like romance maybe will take more...just to don't let the book end! I read that Spielberg bougth the rigths to make the movie. That means is a captivating story...isn't it? It will make a good gift if you ignore the personal taste of those you want to give. By the way, I read this book in spanish...
