Rating: Summary: A Fast Paced Delight!!! Review: "Indiscretion" was such a fun read!!! I absolutely LOVED the characters Anne and Patrick. Patrick was so hysterical as her "butler"..I read this in a flash..it was so engaging I didnt want to put it down!! What a refreshingly fun tale!! I definitely recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Great Hero but.... Review: Although Ms Hunter is an auto buy I found this latest book from her to be a bit of disappointment. The heorine is of the sort who whines thru the whole book over an incident that appears in their shared past. An incident she was willingly party to. She seems to want to blame the hero for the whole thing and it is clear to this reader she needed to get over it and move on. Here was a man who adored her, she needed to take the chance; she deserved him and he her. She does eventually get over it but not soon enough for my total enjoyment of the book. This hero however was a delight, the best reason to by this book. Great comic relief, rivals some of today's best commedic contemporary romance authors, ie... SEP. It is hoped that Ms Hunter will return to the style of her earlier works where her heroines were strong. providing a wonderful compliment to their heroes. Although not my favorite of Ms Hunter's body of work, I would reccomend it for the excellent characterization of a hero.
Rating: Summary: A MUST READ ROMANCE Review: Always a fan of Ms. Hunter, I couldn't put this one down. Touching, funny, and sexy! Ms. Hunter has a gift, and this reader can't wait for the next book. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for rereading Fairy Tale and Delight!
Rating: Summary: Ditch the shrink - this book is the ultimate lift-me-up! Review: For the ultimate in love, laughter, and tears, look no further. Heck, I insist you whip out your credit card and buy this book now! Heh heh. Seriously, I have a wonderful time reading "Indiscretion". Wonderfully wicked repartees fly sharp and fast, along with hot hot hot bawdy love scenes and foreplay enough to steam up one's spectacles. And even better, there is enough emotional poignancy to add substance to this wonderfully wicked and witty farce. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for love and laughter. Forget going to a shrink or binging on ice cream, this book works much much better. Oh, and I'm not the author's mother, by the way.
Rating: Summary: Very funny Review: I found this book to be both romantic and funny. It is a joy to read a book in which I can actually laugh out loud. This is my first book with this author but not my last. I am looking forward to my next book with her and have found the reviews quite helpful.
Rating: Summary: Indiscretion Review: I have never read such a stupid book. I have read almost every historical romance novel referring to Scotland and this book was by far worst. I can usually read a book in 2 days. This took me weeks, I had to force myself to finish. Please read the Outlander series, Kilgannon and others along those lines. This was just plain stupid. Who really believes they said "nip it in the bud" in the 1800's. This is a 1999 book wanting to be a historical romance.
Rating: Summary: Did I miss something? Review: I just don't understand all the positive customer reviews. It was an ok book. I didn't think the repartee was all that great. Some of it was pretty trite. There were some funny lines but the author seemed to run out of wit as the story wore on. I feel cheated. I was relying on the customer reviews to guide my purchase. That's why I had to write this one. Try Amanda Quick for a good mystery and witty repartee. She never fails. Maybe I've been too tough on JH as she seems to be new at this. The story had potential. I just felt she could have done so much more with it. In all honesty I do have to say I liked the characters. I would have liked to know them better however.
Rating: Summary: A Major Disappointment! Review: I was looking forward to read this book. It took me a very long time to find it. It turned out to be so bad that I threw the book across the room. The plot about the uncle's death is sadly bad. So Anne and Patrick set out to find the cause of the death. I was fine with that. Anne still hold a grudge agaisnt Patrick after all those years, for what??? She wanted a liasion with him, she got it. She rode to the meeting spot with him, welcomed his touches. Anne complains and whines, if I was Patrick, I would dump her on the spot. And I just don't understand the problem between these two. There's no real chemistry between these two, I was waiting for a big chemistry explodsion somewhere in the middle of the book. However, the more I read it, the more I look for it, the more I was like, get to it! get to it! And it never get to it. It was a very fast read because there wasn't much in it to read slowly. By the end of the book, I was like, come on people! It's just not realistic. I read very good reviews for this book and I just cannot find the goodness that everyone found in it. It's merely my opinion. Read it if you want.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely Hilarious! Review: I was not expecting much out of this book, especially any sense of humor! So, I was quite shocked, and laughed pretty hard throughout the book. I think a good romance needs some humor in it. The back of the book leads you to think that this book is a revenge plot--ie, a woman scorned gets her revenge by having her ex-lover pose as her butler, however, that is where all the humor comes in. Sutherland, the butler, gets all the good lines. Very light-hearted book, easy read, and worth the buy.
