Summary: I read them backwards
Review: I loved this book, I however would have liked to have read it before I read River of Dreams also by Ms. Lykins. I loved the way she brought the characters of this book together, and if I had read them in order would have enjoyed it all the more, my advice to you is if you would like to know more about Shaelyn and Alec dont miss River of Dreams, and try and read them in order.

Summary: A related book is due out in July, 1999.
Review: I spent two weeks in a "haunted" Victorian cottage on Penobscot Bay in Maine, researching this novel, and I probably had more fun writing Distant Dreams than any of my previous books. One of the perks of writing is that you can make your characters miserable, angst-ridden, make them jump through hoops to find happiness, and throw some humor at them, and no one thinks you're sadistic!

Though Distant Dreams stands alone, for readers who like books with recurring characters, Griffin will have his own story told in River of Dreams, due out in July, 1999.

Thanks to everyone who has written or emailed with such positive feedback. Those pats on the back mean a lot in a business where there is no instant gratification. :D

Summary: Like all that she has done, it was great!
Review: Jenny has a unique way of capturing your attention & heart. You feel from the start you are there with the characters. She is such a great writer! All of her work is so wonderful and this ranks right up with the others. Check out all her books, they are all worth reading!

Summary: An enjoyable time travel
Review: This book is very easy to read, and one I totally enjoyed because of the feitsy yet intelligent heroine and a nice (if rather bland) hero.

I finished the book with no major complaints, only that the 'evil father' character is way over the top. Why can't the hero just move out of the house and live his own life? He is in his mid-30s after all. As it is, he seemed a little of a doormat.

Summary: Stands Out
Review: This book stands out among time-travel romances because it does a better job than many of keeping the reader guessing about how everything is going to be resolved. I recommend it to fans of romance and time-travel.

Summary: Great!!!!
Review: This book was VERY interesting. I was intrigued throughout the whole story. I loved the way Lykins kept me on my toes with action, all the while not boring me to death with too many descriptions of facial emotions like some writers do. I especially liked how she revealed little facts throughout the whole story and not all at the same time, tying it up in the end very smoothly. I don't know how many times I've read this book. It's great!!!!

Summary: Phenonenal
Review: This book was well written. It is one of the best books that I have ever read. I have read many time travel romances....but this one takes the cake!! (in a manner of speaking). Shaelyn was a marvelous and vivacious character. Alec is probably the man that I am destined to marry. That is if I can take him away from Shae. If you enjoy this book, check out the sequel "River of Dreams". If this book wasn't rated on a 1 to 5 scale, I would have given it a 10+!!

Summary: good book
Review: This is a great book if you like time passages but it could have delved deeper into Shaelyn's thoughts when she entered the past. It was like, ok, I'm in a weird place. oh well... I would have been frantic. It would have been nice to have gotten better acquainted with the characters. I thought the book went way too fast. I will read more books from this author and I recommend this to anyone who loves time passage books.
