Summary: The story of LIFE
Review: This is truly a story of life. Mrs. Robotham left no stones unturned. She handled each subject exquisitely. She relates the story of the hard knocks of growing up placing readers right there in the room with her characters. Very realistic. A well told story. Very seductive, a true page turner. An excellent story of the ups and downs of life. No plasticity, just hard-core life.

Summary: 5 stars for a "must read" novel
Review: This novel is more than a love story, its a life story, full of experiences. Zachary was all thats good about a good son, brother, friend and lover. Ms. Robotham, you did a great piece of work here, and thank you for the adventure.

Summary: EXQUISITE LITERARY DEBUT
Review: This novel was absolutely captivating and I wonder where Ms. Robotbam has been all of my 'literary'life. Although this novel was pegged as a love story, I found that aspect to be secondary to the story of Zachary and who he was as a man and the influnces in his life that caused him to be who he was. To me, this story was about an African American male with character and integrity. I loved the way he interacted with his family and the role he played within that unit. Although Korie grew up in a society that determined a person's worth by class, material possessions, etc., Zach's worth and value as a human being far outweighed her own. I agree with Simona, Kori did Zach wrong. The one criticism I have is that although the author spent a great deal of time describing those qualities which made Zach a great human being, and thus easy for Korie to fall in love with, I did not find the same depth and description of Korie's qualities such that Zach would fall as deeply in love with her as he did. I was however impressed by the quality and depth of writing and thought the language was utterly captivating and magnificantly rich.

Summary: Simply beautiful
Review: This was one of the most tender and moving books I have ever read. Its so rare that you find anything worth smiling over and savoring in the new world of black fiction. It seems like everyone is publishing books now. Thank GOD, we still have authors and not just novices who can construct sentences. Ms. Rothobam restored my faith in the written word and made me realize why I love to read; because every so often you will run across a "Zachary's Wings". Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for such a wonderful book.

Summary: This book will change you.

Summary: a very touching remarkable story that moves you
Review: what can i say..this book had remarkable characters...a lot of problem solvers and forgivers..i like that a lot in a book...the mother gave advice in her own way..which i think most parents try to do without getting in their kids business when they are grown...and the ending touch me how jimmy had changed...a must read if you like to read about the consequences a person or persons go through and how the outcome of their life made the turnaround.

Summary: A surreal poignant of love and forgiveness.
Review: When Zachary and Korie meet there is an immediate attraction and they act upon it. However, as Eryka Badu's song goes, Korie is a bag lady. She has been separated from her husband who she met at college. Korie comes from an upper-class family in Jamaica and rebels against her parents when she marries Sam. They drift apart and now are just friends. But he is back in her life just as she and Zachary have built a solid relationship and he has left Philadelphia to live with her in New York. Sam is gravely ill and Korie feels obligated to take care of him. What she discovers about her husband sets in motion a series of events that changes the course of all three of their lives. There is much pain and redemption in this story. There is a secondary story of Zachary's family and the relationships in his family. It is not until the end that we see how this seemingly unrelated events intersects with Zachary and Korie's story. There are many scenes from the past in both Zachary and Korie's lives, scenes from their childhood and relationships with their parents. This was a beautiful tale that resonates with you long after. I look forward to more of this author's work.

Summary: A beautiful story about love and family
Review: Zachary and Zorie meet and fall in love.......all in one weekend. And just as that love begins to blossom Korie's estranged husband becomes deathly ill and complicates the relationship between Korie and Zachary.

The author gives us a glimspe into the early lives of Zachary and Korie so we have an understanding of what has shaped them. Throughout the book we see how their family impacts on their life both past and present. As Korie and Zachary struggle through their relationship they must both learn hard lessons that will eventually make them stronger, and I think, more ready to love each other.

I believe that author did a good job developing the characters and her description of Zach and Korie's love for each other is beautiful.

Summary: What a love story
Review: Zachary's wings was a great read. I don't know if any such Zachary's exist. It was a very deep story, it showed love can take you through so many changes. To have someone really in your corner says alot. I know she put Zach through an awful lot over an "EX". They're ex'es for a reason, she's very fortunate that Zachary's love was that strong for her. Honestly I wouldn't have been too upset if they didn't reunite. I know if it were my ex....Anyway, I enjoyed the book and look forward to more of her work.
