Summary: Great read
Review: Tony has finish college, and trying to make it in the job world, and also in the dating world. I liked the parts when Tony and his friends discussed women, it gave some input on what guys think about women. At the point in the book when Tony was dating Cynthia, he made me mad, because he acted like he was than her because of his degree. I was glad after meeting Cynthia's family he changed his views on lower class people. I throught this book was a fun read.

I've read in years. Periodically, I had to breathe
in the substance of every relationship, friendship,
and spirituality. Constantly, If I tried to remove
my eyes from the genuine deliverance of life(Dazed and
Confused),though seeing that the truth of this substance
was so unbearable. At the same time, optimistically
savoring the self-educated, impoverished and infelicitious
individual. In other words, nothing or nobody could remove
mine eyes from the "Spirit of the past, present and "Futuristic"
Author, Mr. Troy Martin and his book(Dazed and Confused), from such a divined and fulfilling # 1 Bestseller Nationwide Edition. In fact, anytime you can entertain a human soul going from humor to sadness in life; the book compared to all the stars in the wolrd is worth more. Anytime, someone can go far and beyond with an edition of life and bring the reality to life within your very own eyes,it's a fundamental source. Furthermore, the society should gracefully partake everything in this book to many. Because, I see this world renowed book going to far off and better blessed angelic hands besides mine.

Summary: The Way It's Supposed to be Told!!!
Review: Troy Martin has definitely "put it down" with a daring, true-to-life, and extremely compelling novel that captures the essence of life from an often underrepresented point of view. I'd heard that this book was "tight," but never would I have imagined someone creating a literary masterpiece that seizes one's attention until the very last page. This novel was incredibly REAL, and I will personally make sure that all of my boyz read it. Rarely does an author step out and boldly put into print what so many "like-minded" people feel, say, and express on a daily basis, in spite of the proverbial criticism that usually accompanies such brash honesty. Extremely "RAW" and "VERY FUNNY," "Dazed & Confused" should be on EVERYONE'S reading list. Similarly to how we were MADE to read certain books in high school and college,(that were usually hailed as "classics," yet from a biased point of view)it's time to "flip-the-script" and expose the greater society to alternative points of view that just so happen to come from young, intelligent, black men who simply strive to "KEEP IT REAL" through their inherent GOD-given abilities. Although some may find the situations in this story to be "explicit," keep in mind that when ART truly imitates LIFE, we sometimes get more than we bargained for . . .which is how it's supposed to be coming from a literary standpoint. For those who are looking for a great book that comes absolutely correct, then pick up a copy of "Dazed & Confused" and see what "surviving life in the game" is all about.

Summary: Contemporary Life At Its Best....and Funniest
Review: What a wonderful pleasure it is to read something that brings out such a comfortable sense of the familiar, as well as complete, tear-inducing laughter. It would only be proper for me to say thank you to author Troy Martin for creating such a vehicle. I thoroughly enjoyed-and was quite impressed with-his novel, Dazed and Confused, and highly recommend it. I think that what fascinated me most of all about the book was the familiarity of the characters. Take Elgen, for instance. His "pseudo-" political views about American youths are very reminiscent of conversations I've had with friends on that same subject. I even agreed with him on a few points. The interrelationships of the primary characters (male-male & male-female) are drawn so vividly that I felt as if I was a part of their group. Also, as the emotional, social, and career dilemmas of the lead character, Tony, unfolded, I found myself both empathizing with him and laughing 'til it hurt. After reading Dazed and Confused, it is very easy to turn a discussion of the book into a discourse on life in general. Troy Martin has done such a superb job of mirroring contemporary life, that it is virtually impossible for his audience to not draw personal parallels. Quite frankly, I look forward to attending a discussion of his book, and contributing my own perceptions and personal parallels. Pick-up a copy and experience it for yourself.
