Summary: One of the best Zombie flick ever made.
Review: Dawn of the Dead, is the second installment, of George Romero's Dead Trilogy. This one deals with the survival aspect of a world overrun with zombies. There have been many attempts (some worthy) by other film makers to duplicate this series, but In my opinion none come close. Dawn of the dead is the only zombie movie to rival Night of the Living dead (first in the series), in my opinion. If you havent seen this or any of the trilogy, They are well worth checking out.

Summary: THE DEAD GO SHOPPING ONE LAST TIME!
Review: Director George Romero delivers a horror masterpiece with DAWN OF THE DEAD. Usually sequels lack what their predecessors possess, but this one goes NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD one better. Besides being the best movie in the zombie movie genre, perhaps the greatest thing about this film is make-up artist Tom Savini's frighteningly realistic cosmetic effects. The amount of gore here is certainly not for the weak stomached. Watch this one with your eyes open and in a well lit room.

Summary: When there's no more room in Hell, the dead will die again.
Review: Director George A. Romero has created with DAWN OF THE DEAD possibly the best entry in the horror movie genre. The mall is the perfect place for the characters to trap themselves in. Instead of a more claustrophobic house setting, there is a vast expanse of hallways and openings any number of zombies could catch you off guard at. When the living and the dead encounter each other, Tom Savini's grossly brilliant makeup effects are allowed to shine. And boy do they! This is some of the most realistic gore ever to grace the silver screen. And on DVD the movie looks great. The added footage is a true treat for fans of the movie and the packaging is quite handsome. Don't delay another minute; pick this one up before it goes the way of the zombie.

Summary: One of my all time faves. Classic-zombies and a mall!!!
Review: Dawn of the Dead has been number two on my top 102 movies that I own. Star Wars remains number one. Dawn is a classic. The originality, creativity of people resorting to a shopping mall as a fortification against zombies. This film was destined to be made. Night of the Living Dead was nice, Day of the Dead was cute, but, DAWN OF THE DEAD is a masterpiece. Superb acting, and a great story line.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Entertaining; interesting sub-plots; gorry special effects.
Review: Interesting sequal to a Classic horror film. The plot is well thought out and actually contains some interesting sub-plots (i.e. what would you do if a mall was all yours?). The special effects don't leave much to the imagination, if you love gore you'll love this! The use of bikers as bad guys got old in the early 70's. But overall a good sequal.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best in Dead trilogy!
Review: I think that Dawn of the Dead is one of the best horror movies made! With George A. Romero's beutafil direction, and Tom Savini's great special effects, this movie is a winner. It's a rare movie that focuses on the characters and the story with them more than usual.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A relief in the search of good zombie movies.
Review: This movie starts out fast and without explanation which creates a perfect setting for a zombie film. It is creatively set in a mall where the heros have all that they need to fight the undead. The movie also takes dramatic changes which assures you to be on the edge of your seat. It is probably the best zombie movie ever made.

Summary: The best zombie ever made in the history of moviemaking
Review: I remember watching this video when I was fifteen years old. Even though I was in my parent's house at the time (I currently live in the basement with my Star Trek dolls) it definitely made me want to change my rubber diapers. Oh boy was that a tough night! General Tsao's Chicken, Hot Wings, Barbecue Ribs, and three day old beans. Gosh, by the end of it my bottom kind of resembled one of those zombies. Just kiddin', DOTD is most definitely the best zombie movie ever made. If you're gonna blow your bucks anywhere, it may as well be the second movie in history to have a head explode.

Summary: Zombie da best!
Review: As a kid in '79, it scared the bejesus out of me. It's dated now, but still a great movie. A solid 4 stars, with an added star for scaring Rob.

Summary: The next best thing to being there! Zombies Rock!
Review: This version of Dawn Of The Dead is a must have! With Full color stills from the movie, you can really appreciate Tom Savini's craftsmanship. Even though it's out of print, a few copies are out there somewhere. Try to find one if you simply love ZOMBIES!
