Summary: bullseye
Review: After reading this book I no longer would hit my child Billy in the side of the head with a dart. On accident ofcourse!
This saved me a lot of money on medical bills. Thanks!

Summary: Improve your game
Review: As a novice dart player, Chris Carey's book has been invaluable. It starts out easy with a short history of the game. For instance, I was surprised to learn "...The first dartboards were cross sections of trees or the bottoms of beer barrels...The concentric circles and spider pattern of wires of the modern dartboard resemble the cracked, weathered cross sections of trees; the bottoms of beer barrels afforded the perfect bull's-eye - the'cork." It then moves to basics like - amount of force needed for an accurate shot. The bulk of the book is devoted to games - moves & strategies. I could say something like Mr. Carey has hit the cork with this book but, really, my best suggestion is, no matter what your level, if you want to know more about darts get hold of Carey's book.

Summary: Basic, easy read
Review: I bought this book after getting a soft tip dartboard for Christmas. My opinion may be a little biased because I'm hopelessly addicted to the sport. The book is an excellent resource, from beginning to end, and is a very quick read. The only part where I kind of raised an eyebrow was the idea that professional darts may be televised someday - to be quite honest, I just don't see that. I love the game, and I know there are others like me who do, but what gets aired is driven by ratings, and if a major league sport like hockey isn't pulling ratings, then I can hardly imagine people wanting to watch darts on TV.

Summary: This book changed my life
Review: I was a mediocre player before I bought this book. I read it, digested every word and now I rule the bar--I win my matches, impress the ladies and even got on WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE.

Summary: Very helpful
Review: Mr. Carey's book was a great help to me. Very straightforward. I learned the games and all I needed to know. Now I'm on a team and a regular player, have met new friends and may even marry my favorite dart partner. I owe it all to this book!
