Summary: Unique book
Review: I've been watching this year's exciting playoffs and then saw Mr. Swirsky on TV so I went out to buy this book. After devouring it (try putting it done once you've opened it!), I then went out to buy his first one--"Baseball Letters". I notice that every time I am watching a game now, and a player comes to bat that Mr. Swirsky has gotten a letter from, I feel like I know the guy who's playing so much better. The actual letters bring you closer to the players. The histories the author adds (with some very neat photographs) are fascinating as well as informative. Sportscasters like Bob Costas or Joe Morgan should read these books --it would add tremendous depth to their analysis. This is a book you keep on your coffee table.

Summary: amazing
Review: I've loved baseball since the 20s when my dad took me to old comiskey park--i saw the greats;the Babe, Lou Gehrig, they all came through. This book brings me back to those days and those great feelings with my father. Thank you Mr. Swirsky for your foresight in chronicling these stories and anecdotes.

Summary: great book
Review: It's unique enough that over 100 baseball players wrote letters to the author in their own handwriting, which is reproduced in the book. But, the pictures that go with it and the memorabilia in the book is amazing too. also, there are a treasure trove of great facts. I was a big fan of "Baseball Letters" but I am enjoying "Every Pitcher Tells A Story" even more.great book.

Summary: Saw on GMA
Review: Just saw the piece Charles Gibson did on Good Morning America (since when is GMA impressed enough to do a piece on a book!). I knew of Mr. Swirsky's first book "Baseball Letters" which I bought for my father and grandfather. Though my grandad passed away last year, he considered it his favorite gift he ever received from me over 30 years. Obviously, I've ben waiting for Mr. Swirsky's new book and was glad to know it was out. I'm only on page 57, but am loving it so much, I thought I'd say so.

Summary: The #1 BOOK!
Review: My favorite part in this book is Turk Wendall's story. It is so funny. This book is very interesting and teaches you stuff you never knew before. Seth writes to pitchers asking them a uestion. The pitcher then returns with an answer and it is published. This is a great book and fun for anyone who likes baseball. If you have do not forget to read page 20 Turk Wendall's story.

Summary: Got it for Chanukah
Review: my parents bought me this book for Chanukah. I am 12 years old and play in little league in the summer. My favorite letters were the ones from the guy who gave up Mark McGwire's 70th home run and the guy who went to see the Beatles play after he pitched. There my favorite group.

Summary: Made My Christmas
Review: Thanks Amazon for getting this book here the day before Christmas so I could get it as a gift. It made my Christmas. The moment I got it (I had seen the author a few times on the morning shows), I literally could not put it down. I felt the author's enthusiasm throughout the entire book. The letters, the pictures, the whole 'experience' of reading it!

Summary: Baseball romance
Review: This book creates an air of baseball that few books allow. From star to skunk, it includes them all. But the stories from their own letters is all that surround baseball -- the aura itself. Great reading.
