Summary: Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry
Review: I am in eigth grade and am an avid reader. I am most likely interested in all novels and am open minded towards them, however this novel is definately awful. The story line is good, yet the writing and myriad amount of adjectives is a bother and causes the reader to have a lack of intrest.

Summary: This is not a prejudice book!
Review: I am a 13 year old African-American and I think this book was an exellent source of heritage for all RACES. From reading some of these reviews, alot of you seem to think that the content of the book is prejudice but everyone has to realize this is as close as you can get the truth. I recommend this book to everyone of all ages.

Summary: A great book
Review: I really enjoyed Roll of Thunder hear my Cry. I found that it really told the story of a part of the United States past that not many people want to talk about any more. The book did a great job explaining the emotions of the black children who grew up in this time period. I would share this book with everyone.

Summary: Ending ruined it!
Review: I started this book with a heavy heart because it was one I really did not want to read. As a got along with the story I found it very enjoyable. It was great until the last 3 pages. The ending was so bad that it ruined my whole point of view to the story. I am not going to tell you what happened but I will tell you that it was very cruel! I have read To Kill a Mockingbird before even though I am only 12. I hope that shows that a mature reader like me can still hate a book like this. Don't let your children read it!

Summary: We found a cure for insomnia
Review: I had to read this book for 9th grade english, and I have to tell you it put me to sleep. It's great that the Logan family had a hard life...but it wasn't that hard. The children were all healthy and pretty happy, the family had alot of love. This just be me but I don't feel sorry or them. I stongly don't reccomend this book unless you are having trouble sleeping
