Summary: A PALM CONVERT
Review: I had a Palm 5 since they came out, and it was a GLORIFIED rolodex. Black and White screen uninspired software.And then it happened, my palm almost ruined me, as I wasnt using my palm because it was terrible and I figured a Pocket Pc was a Palm with a pretty color screen. WAS I WRONG. The pocket pc is INCREDIBLE. Where do I begin? The games are INSANE. Go to Handago.com and look around. Age of Empires looks like a shrunk version of the full one. The games are better and faster than a gameboy. NICE STUFF. I have two memory cards in this machine and I am estatic one 128 meg sd card is chock full of MP3's and the other 128 meg card is full of USEFUL SOFTWARE. The size of the unit is great, the screen is nice to look at. FOR THE PRICE this is a great unit. One complaint is the battery life could be better, but its not a problem.

Summary: Excellent!!! But slightly unstable
Review: For the basics, Toshiba's e310 Pocket PC is excellent. Using the oh-so-familiar Windows operating system, navigation and programs are seemlessly integrated with your desktop. It is quite easy to download photos and games. The size is perfect -- not too small, not too large. The Pocket PC has several options for writing, including free style, letter recognizer, and the keyboard. It takes a bit of practice to use the "handwriting" styles. The keyboard is a reliable standby. On the down side, the system occasionally gets stuck and requires rebooting, especially when the battery begins to run low. This can be annoying, especially if you are in the middle of something. Also, the screen size is a bit small to properly use Excel or Internet Explorer. Overall, I enjoy my Pocket PC and am satisfied with my purchase.

Review: I bought the Toshiba e310 on the recommendation of "Computeractive" - a UK based IT magazine. I have been totally satisfied with the PDA and colleagues are very impressed by the slim lines and compact nature - unlike Compaq equivalents! My only disappointment has been the lack of a folding keyboard (Targus etc) but I bought the Pocketop version and am very pleased with the results - not as accessible as the Targus but easy to use. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Toshiba to anyone - total satisfaction!...

Summary: I love it!
Review: After buying my husband an iPaq3850 for his birthday and setting it up for him, I wanted one. However I didn't want to spend as much and I wanted something a bit more compact. I did more research and was just about settled on getting the Sony Clie, but before I ordered it the Toshiba 310 came out and was the right price. If the e330 or 335 at 64MB had come out I'd have got one of them for the memory size, but I got a large 128MB SD card and I have been using it a lot. I put in reminders for the due dates for all my bills, things going on at my kids' school. I scanned my 1st grader's class schedule and school lunch menu onto my computer and synched it with the 310, so I now know what days I've ordered lunch for him and what it is etc. I have downloaded a lot of very useful software; exercise training tracking, diet tracking and nutritional database, a few ebooks. I have stopped writing notes, phone nos addresses on little bits of paper or post its which get lost, I keep closer track of my money using Pocket Money and I'm sure as time goes by I'll find many more uses. The reason I've given it 4 stars is because, not often, but more than occasionally, it seems to do things for no apparent reason like the backlight not lighting because the box has become unchecked, yet I didn't do it and just as frequently it freezes and I have to do a soft reset. It seems to do this less often when I reqularly go to running programs and actually stop any application that I have closed.

Summary: Great starter PDA
Review: This was the first PDA product that I had ever purchased. I was intially hesitant due to previous problems with Toshiba electronics, but after comparing the E310 to other products, I was sold. For its price, you get a great PDA. The E310 is very light, has a great color screen, and for those used to Windows operating systems, is very easy to use. The E310 has enough memory to hold your basic information; SD cards are relatively cheap and can provide extra memory for pictures, data backup, etc. I never had a problems running any of the programs or synchronizing the PDA with my computer. There is alot of good software available for the Pocket PC OS, so you shouldn't have any problems finding what you need. Overall, this is a great PDA for your basic organinzing of names and numbers and for planning your schedule. It's versatile and has a decent battery life so you can always expand it to fit your needs.

Summary: Great PDA, Great Value
Review: I've had the e310 for 3 months now and love it. I used to use a Sony Clie, which was nice, but I'm much happier with the e310. I read the comment about the e310 not reading non-Toshiba SD cards. Not true, I have 32mb and 128mb Sandisk SD cards that work fine. My only wish is that the battery life was longer. In the end, I'll trade battery life for the bright color screen.

Summary: Great and Easy to Use
Review: The Toshiba Pocket PC e310 is easy to use - the color is great. The reminder sounds are not too obnoxious - but can be clearly heard.
Since it is has versions of Word and Excel it makes a great tool to be used in the field and then complete the final documents in the office.
The initial startup is simple if you follow the directions. This is extremely important. Also you must remember to sync and charge so you do not lose your information. My Pocket PC was a gift but if I was purchasing, with the knowledge I have now, this is the one I would buy.

Used to have a Palm before, but this PDA is better and has a slim case and greatlooks.

Summary: The e310 is a winner !
Review: This is the first PDA I have ever purchased. I was able to find a great price and I have been happy ever since. My only complaint is the lack of keyboard options. Apprently, there is a one infrared keyboard device by Pocketop Inc., though it has mixed reviews. The e310 will lock up if the device is not situated in the cradle properly and the mirror appears [inexpensive]. However, the great picture, battery life, size and processing speed are good. I have downloaded over a hundred free e-books and really enjoy my ability to use the PDA as a portable library. I also use the the Microsoft software package for my calender and word processing needs. The PDA was easy to setup though I would have expanded the user manual and improved on it. I would also suggest the purchase of a flip-top style case and a car power adaptor, both by Belkin. The adaptor can also function as a USB information exchange cable for your computer.
