Summary: Birnbaum's Walt Disney World For Kids By Kids
Review: A friend showed me this book after returning from Disney. I found it to be very helpful and am ordering one for our family. The book tells what you need to know about the ride before you put them on it. That allows me to know whether or not a ride is too scary, rough or dark. That information is very helpful. My daughter is only 5, and she enjoyed looking at it with us. I think it is a must before you go to Disney World. It also has a section in the back for autographs and lots of helpful hints.

It helped our kids get a lot more out of the experience and really notice the detail that goes into each of the park's design and upkeep.I now buy it for every kid I know going to WDW.

Review: I brought this book for my son to help him prepare for our trip in May 2001. He absolutely loved it! He made a list of all the rides and attractions that he thought he might want to experience himself. It was helpful to him to read the different reviews that came from each of the kids. As we walked around WDW he would say "I read about this ride in the book." This book also helped to enhance his reading skills, which is always a plus. I am anxiously waiting for the 2002 edition to come out since we have another trip planned for May 2002.

Summary: Just the thing to involve the kids
Review: In general, I think this book might be helpful to give to older kid in preparation to a Trip to Disney. But, and it's a big but, I think most of the material is a re-hash of material available in Birnbaum's regular Disney book. I think that a trip to disney is expensive enough without thinking you NEED , yet, another "official" book. Birnbaum books are the official dinsey books and as such really spout the Disney propaganda. It is somewhat hard to feel that I got a balanced view of disney from these books, so I always buy "the unnoficial guide" as well. This year I decided to buy this book for my son... for some pre-disney excitement and to read on the plane. But I really think that this would be the only reason to buy it. The information is available in other books and this is a book that could really be skipped.
