Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Witty, entertaining & humorous
Review: More than a mere travel guide - which the Lonely Planets are - this is more a personal travelogue, witty, entertaining & with a vast array of fascinating literary quotes.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: blah, blah, blah
Review: More travelogue than guide. The author seems to be saying "I did this better than you ever could."

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best guide to Burma
Review: Of its time, this was the best - and most pioneering - of the Burma guidebooks compiled clearly by one of the world's few Burma experts. Shame it is out-of-print!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Hopelessly out of date
Review: Put your money elsewhere. This guide is out of date. It is printed on paper similar to comic book paper and it is hard to imagine carrying this around Burma without it disintegrating
completely.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: Terrible book, out-of-date, inaccurate information. Not recommended. LP is much better.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Misses the mark unfortunately
Review: This book unfortunately falls foul to basic errors and sloppy research - this combined with the relative age of the book would make it of little use to travellers going to Burma in 2002/2003. Overall Lonely Planet's is better written and better researched. Best left alone.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Worst
Review: This is the most inaccurate guidebook I have ever read.
Dont bother with it.
Buy Lonely Planet instead.
