Summary: Self-help in a fictional form
Review: Recommended by my mother, I waited a month at our local library for this one, and it was well worth it. I managed to put it down after the first 100 pages before picking it up again to not put it down. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes to read, but especially to those fathers and/or husbands who think they have it all figured out. It definitely opens they eyes, and drains them as well.

Summary: Best gift I received
Review: I couldn't put this book down just like when I read The Christmas Box. Richard Paul Evans' characters are easy to relate too and puts things in perspective. Many of us get caught up in our careers and forget about what truly matters. Evans does a superb job with this book. I read it three days and didn't want it to end. A great gift for anyone.

Summary: RICHARD! what happend?
Review: Well after reading the Christmas Box nothing else really compares..... A perfect day started out very well. I enjoyed his writing and thought to myself.. "this is the same quality of the Christmas box, The Locket, The promise etc....but this ending of the book A Perfect Day was hoakie. I was stunned at how he ended the book. It remided me of a bad sit-com and how when the writers don't know how to make it credible they decide to use "it was a dream". kind of like who killed JR? (anyone old enough to recall that? All in all... it was a ok book. But if you REALLY want to read it, buy a used copy. Or better yet check it out at the library.

Summary: One of the worst I've ever read
Review: The saying goes that "there's nothing new under the sun", and this book proves it! Just another overly sentimental story that's been told a million times by much better writers than Richard Paul Evans. Technically, the book is not well written - more on a junior high school level, and repetitive phraseology made for a boring read. The story was sappy, the climax contrived. Character development was lacking, as was motivation for many of Robert's decisions & subsequent actions. The only semi-interesting aspect of the book was the description of an author's book tour. Maybe Evans should end his own book tours to spend more time writing a really good story.

Summary: Incredible Story
Review: This is the first book I've read by this author and I can't wait to read more. He weaves an incredible story and develops his characters wonderfully. It wasn't a predictible story like so many I've read lately. This book will make you take a good look at your own life and priorities.

Summary: Superb!!
Review: Richard Paul Evans has once again written a story that cannot help but touch all our lives. A "Perfect Day", depicts Evans at his best. In brief, the story is about a truly happily married couple with a young daughter who struggle to make ends meet. By means of some unfortunate events that occur, they hit pay dirt and their lives are transformed and so is their happiness. The story often makes the reader try and understand what life and love really mean.
When you think you know how the story will end, guess again because you will be delightfully surprised by it's twist.
A great book to read and a great book to reflect!!!

Summary: A SPORTS JUNKIE FALLS IN LOVE WITH THIS MASTERPIECE
Review: Don't ask me why I read this book because I have no answers. Perhaps being in my mid 40's led me so undiscover some of my deepest feelings. After reading The Five People You Meet In Heaven, I stumbled onto the literary works of Richard Paul Evans. Let me cut the chase. I read this book in one day. I can't explain why I couldn't put it down. Mr. Evans does an outstanding job of character development. Most fiction books one tends to get lost in too many characters, A Perfect Day is very easy to read. The book is about his writing of A Perfect Day. Superb execution of the thought process and quite easy to relate to if one is put in that position. I'll admit the ending is somewhat disappointing. Quite frankly, I thought Mr. Evans could have expanded on it a bit more. But this book still deserves an unprecedented 5 Stars because its story fulfilled me in every sense. A Perfect Day is a love story, a mystery, imaginative and passion all confined into 288 pages. A Perfect Day is reading A Perfect Day.

Summary: Excellent Read....
Review: This is the first novel that I have read by Richard Paul Evans. I adored this book. It is a simply written story with a heart. It is an examination of how far we are willing to go to realize our dreams. And the reality of what we lose in the process. It is a beautiful story of one man who went after his dream and had to discover if the price had been to high to pay. Pick up this book and share it with your friends. You won't regret it.

Summary: Touching
Review: Beautiful story of discovering what is really important in life. Simply written, but still a touching story. Am going to read some of his other books.
