Summary: Great Multiplayer experience
Review: It has it's weaknesses, but they are few. If you enjoyed Battlefield 1942 and have a thing for modern combat, then you are going to enjoy this. They've improved the game engine and the graphics, making it an enjoyable game over-all.

If you don't plan to play it as multiplayer, then pass on it. Go with Call of Duty or something from the Medal of Honor series. No campaign mode like in BF1942. You can however, play the maps in single player mode for practice, but the AI just doesn't cut it. Your teammates won't be the brightest decision makers, and the enemy will always spot you no matter how hard you hide. Stick to on-line play like it was intended for. The maps are filled with trees and overgrown foliage, lots of places to hide and run for cover. Great choice of gunboats, fighter jets, tanks and other vehicles, including all classes of Vietnam-era helicopters.

With the right setup on your system, the sights and sounds of battle in this installment of the series are incredible. You can hear the distant artillery fire, overflying jet fighters and the rumble as an F4 Phantom plasters a hillside with napalm. Smells like victory...

Runs smoth with high settings on my:

Pentium 4 w/hyper threading
3.2 GHz
1G RAM
GeForce PCX 5300 128MB video card

Summary: A very good game
Review: Battlefield: Vietnam is a very good game, make no mistake about that. The fast paced gameply, some truly awe-inspiring aireal battles and massive firefights make for a definitive multiplayer experience.

Pros:
-Lots of weapons and vehicles
-Enough maps to keep u occupied for a very long time
-Massive firefights
-Huge air battles
-3d warfare - infantry, boats, tanks, and aircraft fighting on the same battlefield at the same time

Cons:
-Aircraft controls are a little more difficult than they need 2 be
-vehicles are much more vulnerable than they were in BF:1942 (could be a pro)
-All too easy for players to camp on top of the spawn points and blast people as they spawn

Despite these cons, BFV earns 5 stars for its fun factor if nothing else. Some over the top action provides for a very entertaining experience. Although it might not be as good as BF:1942, it surpasses Joint Operations (not by much though). This game has earned a permanent place in my collection. As for the tech specs, i ran it on a P4 2.4ghz, dual channel 256MB DDR RAM (512 after u add it up) and a Radeon 9200 256MB with excellent graphics and no problems at all. Buy this game!
