Summary: The best GM game available!!
Review: Baseball Mogul 2K2 is the best game available for all that dream of running a major sports franchise.

The complete control over the game is one of the best features. You decide who plays, or who doesn't play, who is sitting in AAA waiting for a chance to prove their worth to the team, or who is up in the Show smashing homers or striking out 10 a game.

This game features some great AI in almost all areas. The game runs smoothly with many statistical features sure to please anyone who loves stats. Improvements are continually added through patches, and BBM2K2 even includes your favorite players of today. Trading, free agency, retirement, and the Hall of Fame game are just some of the great aspects of this game.

The people developing BBM2K2 are great, offering awesome support, patches, and even online forums to give suggestions to improve the gameplay.

Without question, BBM2K2 is the best sports game available.

Summary: A great Game For Baseball Fans
Review: Baseball Mogul by Sports Mogul is by far the best baseball simulation I have ever played. The game test your skill as a General Manager and as an owner. (Kind of like Steinbrenner I guess) Every thing from running the farm club to setting your lineup to setting ticket prices, this game has it all. The thrill of spending big bucks on high-priced talent to trying to win with a small market - and small budget - team are both included. Sports Mogul also has the best coustomer service I have ever seen in a game product. The game designer often views the message boards at the Mogul site for ways to improve the product and to help anwser any technical questions. I give the game 5 stars only because I can't give 6.

Summary: Not a kiddie game!
Review: Baseball Mogul is just the thing for somebosy looking for a sports game that doesn't involve arcade play. If you have ever wanted to be a front office guru, this one's for you. The realism of dealing with the revenue of running a major league ballclub and keeping a winning team at the same time makes Baseball Mogul a challenge. It's fun to play alone, but league play really gives you the feeling of being a bigshot GM. The constant input given by the game's owners and the willingness to improve the game through the creator's internet forum makes the game forever evolving. It is the best sports sim on the market that doesn't involve hours of time and sore fingers from playing your kid's arcade games!

Summary: Strictly For Fantasy
Review: Before you buy, make sure you realize this game is strictly from the GM point of view. You don't get to control much of the game, and definitely won't see any. It's great if you want to try to build a team with trades. But that gets old quick, since real evaluation of talent is watching them play.

Summary: Small batch Baseball
Review: I feel obliged to write this review about Baseball Mogul in the same way I like frequenting mom and pop shops. If you like quality and care over empty substance, you owe it to yourself to check out Baseball Mogul.

I've been following the Baseball Mogul franchese for a few years now and watched the product evolve during that time. One of the things I find really striking about the game is that its really a continuous product that continues to improve with every version as opposed one with novel features purely for the sake of change. In this respect, I feel like the developers are more like craftsmen than just coders. In the same way that a favorite recipe evolves over time, Baseball Mogul seems to improve in ever aspect. Don't like the AI? Check the next version and you can be sure its smarter and nastier. Is there something about the UI you find awkward? Check the message boards and you can bet that the developers are discussing this with their users and already planning improvements. Have a gripe about the trading system? Write their president and he'll probably respond in real time. Its almost like having a favorite hobby that someone else is constantly making more fun for you, kind of like baseball itself. This is a seriously fun game that shows design thought and care in practically every component.

I've played this game for years now, occasionally putting it down but then picking up again a few months later. I've invested a lot of time in it and in some ways I feel like its 'my' game. I feel better than I can trust the developers not to mess up 'my' game and only make it better with each version.

Summary: 2002 Version No Improvement Over 2000 Version
Review: I had high hopes for Baseball Mogul 2002 after playing the 2000 version. Unfortunately, this release is a bitter disappointment. It is virtually the same game with minimal changes from previous versions of the game. While there is Major League Players Association licensing and pictures of the players, the AI seems a lot less active than in previous editions (doesn't offer trades, for example). The visual package is more appealing but the game has started to tread water. Unless the next version has substantial impprovement, I will pass on the next version. There's no sense in paying over and over for the same game.

Summary: Unbelievable
Review: I just received the Game. It's not a GAME in my eyes. No instructions, no game of baseball. Instead of paying ...for a list of players, go out and get the USA TODAY newspaper. If there is a game here, it's a damn good secret. You can find a list of players at MLB.COM.

Summary: Try Season Ticket Baseball, its a lot better and funnier!
Review: I was a huge fan of baseball mogul 2000 and i was really looking forward to baseball mogul 2002. I was really disappointed that nothing exceptional has been added to the game and basically what you are buying is a patched 2000 version. If you want to play a complete baseball simulation with a lot of controls over everything than baseball mogul 2002 is definately not for you and let me suggest you the best baseball simulation of all time: Season Ticket Baseball! Ever since i bought the game (Season Ticket Baseball) in August i have never played Baseball Mogul AGAIN and i finally realise what stands as a true baseball simulation! Download the demo of baseball mogul and you will realise what i mean! The pros of baseball mogul are: the speed of the simulation, the "buggy" trading block and its simplicity. Compared to Season Ticket, all the rest is playing against Baseball Mogul. Anyway if you never played a simulation you will like it ....until you try Season Ticket Baseball! It's sad that it turned out that way but i guess that's what happens when you don't do anything to improve your product.

Summary: Best baseball sim out there!
Review: If you ever wanted to prove you can do a better job running your favorite baseball team better than your team's GM, this is the game to do so. You are the team's GM, making decisions on who to trade, what free agents to sign, which ones to keep, and which ones to let go. A realisitic financial model (just remember that 1 point = $200,000) keeps you from assembling a team of superstars to destroy the competition with and makes you spend your money wisely. You also decide how much to spend on your scouting, farm system, and medical staff, as well as set ticket prices, and decide what kind of television contract you want. You set your lineup and pitching rotation, and let the program simulate your games.

The game is also highly customizable, letting you alter player ratings, city information, stadium statistics, and so on. Don't agree with a certain player's statistics? changet hem so that they are closer to what you think they should be. Is your team opening up a new stadium? Change your teams stadium data. Or you could find league files on fan sites with all of this done for you.

The game is also extremely well supported by the guys at Sports Mogul, Inc., putting out new patches when a new bug is found, and occasionally a new feature added to the game at no extra cost.

If you want to build a baseball dynasty without the finger-twitching of some of the other baseball games out there, this is the game to buy.
