Summary: The One True Bruce Willis Movie!
Review: This was Bruce Willis at his charming best! I'm still trying to puzzle out what happened between this movie and what type of stuff he is doing now. That's beside the point. This is the movie that defined "action" movies (along with the original Lethal Weapon) for years to come.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you're going to buy an action movie, buy this one!
Review: I never get tired of watching this movie -- one of the greatest action movies of all time, and perfectly cast as well. Not a bad presentation of media and police satire, either.

Review: maybe a 70star? no, probably more! This was the best movie ever!!! Bruce Willis is my favorite actor in the whole world! another good movie with him is "Striking Distance", or maybe "Die hard 2 and 3". In any case, he is the worlds best actor! I don't think this movie could have been made without him!

Summary: One word: Willis
Review: Die Hard is finally available on DVD. I'd rather see it on the big screen, but of course, I'll take the DVD. It does not disappoint. The picture is superb, sound crisp and the overall effect is light years past the grain and static of the well-intentioned video. But a video cannot contain this film. See Willis' incredibly deft portrayal of mortal but dedicated John McClane, the "cop from New York." The stunts are awesome and so is the claustrophobic storyline. But Willis shines over all. I love this movie! And so will you, especially on DVD.

Summary: Gee, this is a great flick!!
Review: This movie created the "one-man army is trapped and saves the day" genre and is the best of the them all. John McClaine played by Bruce Willis, is a tough cop who is trying to reconcile his marriage with his wife in California. During the X-Mas party where he meets his wife, the 30 story building is taken over by terrorists and John manages to escape the takeover and hides from them inside the building. From here on, the action is non-stop. Exlposions, gunfire, helecopters, this film has got it all. Any action-film fan who hasn't seen this flick should stop what they are doing and immediately go out and buy this film. Buy it on DVD. You will not be dissappointed!

Summary: "Welcome to the party, pal!"
Review: THE QUINTESSENTIAL ACTION FLICK! This is the film that changed the whole body of action films, even though it took them a while to catch on. Great performance by Willis as the N.Y. cop battling insurmountable odds. Alan Rickman is well (type)cast as the baddie. I love that gun that Karl has.

Summary: The Best Action Movie Ever
Review: This movie should be a classic. Obviously, those who make the lists for the Cops and Robbers section and the action hero section have not seen this movie. The action is intense! A must have for any action fan. In the words of John McLane, "Yippie Kie yay mother f$%^&*!"

Summary: RE: Layers
Review: Yes it seems to be a dual layer disc. One thing ive noticed is that it seems that all dual layer discs are goldish in color. Single layer discs seem to be a pure silver color (like audio cds). The layer change on my copy is at the limo sceene where the driver tells the bear to "shutup".

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Much more literate and complex than most people realize
Review: Other reviewers have talked about the outstanding action and character development. But his film has a multitude of hidden and semi-hidden facets that take repeated viewings to understand and fully appreciate. A sample of a few: (1) east-coast - west-coast rivalry (complete with a slap at USC); (2) "Ow!" as a SWAT team member pricks his hand on a rose bush; (3) "Nakatomi" is Japanese for "money inside"; (4) Al singing "Let it snow" just as a body lands on his car; (5) a terrorist looking around to make sure he isn't caught stealing a candy bar; (6) Special Agent Johnson saying "No, the other one" on the phone. These are priceless moments; sheer artistry that will never be appreciated by the cappicino-cinema crowd.
