Summary: A sinister charmer!
Review: Lucy (Kate Hudson) is a flirty bar singer in Dublin when she sees Adam and starts dating him. He seems just so perfect and charming, and Lucy falls madly in love with him. So does the rest of her family, albeit in not-so-innocent and appropriate ways.

Kate Hudson is annoying and looks woefully miscast among the other members of her family who actually look alike.

The story backtracks often and shows how Adam infiltrates into all their lives simulataneously unbeknowest to the other sisters while right in front of them and their mother (who doesn't suspect a thing!) But will the truth ever come out about Adam? Watch this and see.

Summary: Surprisingly Good!!!
Review: Me and my best friend saw this in the old Odeon in town and only because all the movies showing in the new Filmworks were either all too early or all too late to see. We didn't even choose to see 'About Adam'; it was the only one about to start showing, all the rest had already started.
Imagine our groans when we realised we'd gone into a British movie - nearly every one we've seen has been a disappointment. But not 'About Adam'!!
I loved the style of filming and the way every character told their own story through their own eyes. It was very refreshing and completely entertaining and let you inside each and every character's head. You felt like you were really there!! You found yourself guessing what was going to happen next and laughing out loud in some places. Even the ending wasn't TOO cheesy - although you can never completely avoid it.
All in all I was pleasantly surprised and 'About Adam' is one of the only films this year I've seen that really stands out.

Summary: AN ABSOLUTE RIOT!!!
Review: One of the best romantic comedies I have ever seen. I would probably have to even place it higher than Bridget Jones's Diary. I adored the multi-faceted view points and the eloquently woven love-hate relationship that the director managed to extract out of the viewer towards Adam. I think that one viewer wrote it best "you love him, you hate him, you want him". That's most certainly true from a girl's point of view. I saw this movie thrice before it was disappointingly taken down from my local theater.

(And just to set the record straight, this is an IRISH film, not a BRITISH film! The accents are COMPLETELY different!)

Townsend is charming, devious, scandalous, and completely adorable. Kate Hudson is a true sweetheart; you just want to wrap her up and take her home with you! I loved the symbolism of the Jag throughout the movie. (When I get a boyfriend, I'm going to make him get one of those.) There were also allusions to more-than-meets-the-eye between Adam and the mother. I would have liked to see a bit more of that, however. It rather left me dangling.

A MUST SEE! THREE THUMBS UP! TEN STARS!

Summary: Great Irish comedy
Review: Saw this in a Dublin theater last spring. Terrifically witty comedy of a handsome lad that beds an entire family from the teenage daughter to the eldest married sister. Stuart Townsend is an absolute dream. A romantic riot!

Review: The first time saw this movie was on digital cable. I came across it when I was flipping through channels & I recogonized Stuart Townsend(Could he be anymore hotter?!?!?!?!?) so I decided to watch & it was way better than I expected. Kate Hudson & Frances O'Connor were hecka cool in this movie. I love how you see Adam through different perspectives except his own throughout the movie. I got to see a few times again when i rented it on video & that time around I noticed things I didn't notice the first time I saw the movie. This movie is hecka funny & clever! It made want get in touch with my Irish roots.

Summary: Insulting
Review: There's no guilty pleasure--nor pleasure--watching one guy sleep around with his fiancée's sisters and sister-in-law. Is great sex what it takes to loosen up uptight women? Maybe, but my stomach turned watching these sisters screw around with the same guy.

Summary: Scary movie for psychopaths!!!
Review: This movie is demented. It's only a tiny bit above something sold in an adult video store, as it is basically just one sex scene after another. If you hate other people, and want to have an excuse to distrust everyone you meet, watch this diseased film.
