Summary: Trapped near a cursed island . . .
Review: Nobody was too happy when Kuno's new yaught broke down on some deserted island. Even worse, the women of the crew started to disappear! Using Ranma-chan as bait, they discover that Prince Toma, the spoiled young ruler in search of the bride who owned an island nearby, was held responsible for the kidnappings. I loved this movie. My favorite scene was of Mousse fighting for Shampoo, for I am a big Mousse fan.

Summary: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Review: Oh, I'm sorry, I dozed off watching Ranma 1/2 the Movie 2: Nihao My Concubine. This movie really adds very little to the Ranma franchise. How many "Anything-Goes-Martial Arts" something-or-other contests must one sit through before tiring of this stale series? The first movie has more creativity behind it than this "let's get the cast lost on a desert island and kidnapped" cliche-fest. Teenage boys may enjoy this film only to ogle at the girls in bikinis, but anyone looking for entertaining anime should look elsewhwere. Now,if you'll excuse me, I'm lapsing back into my Ranma induced-coma....ZZZZZZZZZZ.

Summary: Ranma 1/2 series tries out BabeWatch bikini look
Review: Plot: On a beach vacation, all the girls get abducted. (The guys stop fighting each other and team up for a change) How will Ranma, Ryoga and Mousse save them?

Good points: Story has a better flow than the first movie, and the animation is as excellent. I especially liked the hints as to who will end up marrying each other; nice touch. Preserving Akane requires a special sacrifice from Ranma. Will he be willing? Does he really, ummmm, Love her?

Bad point: The cute innocence of the series is lost with a bit too much skin. One might conclude that the REAL plot centers on who is the ultimate babe -- Nabiki or Ukyo? Both are animated as fabulous babes, wearing revealing bikinis, but where's the humor? (The series has Shampoo providing humorous contrast to Ranma's repeated complaints about Akane. Shampoo can cook, fight, is madly in love with Ranma and also happens to be THE ultimate babe. It's enough to make guys sigh "Ranma, don't be such an idiot!")

Overall: It's an enjoyable movie, but don't be surprised if females get disgusted from the slow pans of the jiggling Nabiki and quivering Ukyo. On the other hand, otaku guys into this stuff will think this is the best ever. Ranma 1/2 collectors will want to get this, but might think about getting the OVA Series first. People new to Ranma 1/2 wanting the ultimate Rumiko Takahashi viewing experience should start with the TV series.

Summary: Bwahaha for Ranma
Review: The movie is a really cute one, especially if you like shojo parts. As in the first one(can't they think of anything else?)Akane gets kidnapped and forcd to marry a prince, who, by the way looks like he is barely nine. The other girls get taken too and Ranma and Co. go rescue them. All the guys are wearing shorts, so they look kinda weird, especially Mousse. The girls get these skimpy clothes on the island they are taken to and girl-type Ranma is seen topless once. Mousee tries to save Shampoo and it is really sweet. OOOOO! I love those scences! There is also a spring on the island that turns every thing it touches in to a man........
The Dvd has some boring extra features that aren't worth looking at, so buy the video and save yourself some cash!

Summary: Well.. at least it's better than the first movie.
Review: The plot is the same as the first movie. Girls get kidnaped guys go rescue them. If you want to see Ranma with good quality animation I recomend checking out the OAV series. The OAV series is alot funnier than the 2 ranma movies. While the scantly clad females will continuously entertain 13 year old boys, there's just not much else for the rest of us. A TV and Manga series that is as good as ranma deserves to have much better movies made in it's name.

Summary: Ranma 1/2 Nihao My Concubine Makes For One Fantastic Movie
Review: This film is an excellent movie due to the multiple facets it encumbers. First of all, it works as a comedy. The banter between the characters is ingeniusly funny. Funnier still is the situations that Ranma,Akane, and the rest get into. Secondly, this works as an action film. The fighting sequences are beautifully crafted, combining hand-to-hand combat with Jackie Chan-like motions. The fights have a good balance between combat and visual effects, creating some of the most interesting actions sequences in a long time. Thirdly, it works as a drama/romance. The interaction between the characters is one of the for-front aspects. The characters are all multi-dimensional, interesting enough to listen to and funny enough to cherish. As a Ranma fan, I loved how almost every main character plays a large part. Ukyo, Shampoo, Akane, Nabiki, Kasumi, Genma, Soun, Ryoga, Mousse, Colonge, Ranma, Happosai, Kuno; all have prominent scenes. This film is more lighthearted than the first Ranma movie. In conclusion, Nihao My Concubine has an excellent balance between comedy, action, and drama making it extremely entertaining. Buy this movie.

Summary: Hilariously Entertaining
Review: This is a fun movie steming form the Ranma 1/2 series. I found this movie to be the better of the two Ranma 1/2 films. The story has a good plot filled with comedy and action in the right moments. It does require some previous knowlege of the characters prior to viewing, but that is easly rectified by taking advantage of the DVD's options. Also, for a DVD movie, this is great! The sound in the English track is digitaly remastered so it sounds great. No widescreen. There is also a ton of extra features. Inculding a fun Love Chart which displays which movie characters love, hate and are rivals of each ohther with a film clip. A must have for all Anime fans.

Summary: Much better then the First!!!
Review: This movie was much better then the first one. This is the first anime i have seen thats better in the english version then the japenese version. It is a must have for any Ranma fan. The only problem with it is that there is too much showing of the girls (if u know what i mean) The first one wasn't like that and because of that. now i can not show it in my schools anime club. A sham yes but i can't complain on normal standards. It seems to have too much in comon with the first one. For instance, Akane is kidnaped and is chosen to be someone's bride, The kidnaper is a prince of a place few have heard of, and in the end they become friends. (also Kuno and his boat) Although i can't get by the fact that it was better then the first. I mean lots more action, and the fights are longer, plus Ranma isn't the only one u get to see fight. Buy it, laugh, and enjoy.
