Summary: Antz in the Trash
Review: It could have been a good movie. It wasn't. Why? The language turned me off to the story line. I kept waiting for the next shock word. Hollywood clean it up and let families watch movies together!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Much better than Disney's attempt
Review: A fairy tale for adults (note that, it may be important later) that is charming and whimsical.

A shame it was released at the same time as the Disney bug movie- no one can compete with the Disney marketing machine. A real shame, since this one has twice the intelligence.

A star-studded cast and surprisingly dynamic animation add to the picture. Besides, when was the last time a film respected your intellect enough to crack a joke about Marxism?

Summary: The Rise & Fall of the Roman Empire...
Review: (& I'm not talking about the Antz colony) We bought this video thinking it was for kids. Thank goodness we always preview videos before we let our kids see them! I am always surprised at the number of people who find Woody Allen's self-absorbed, socialistic whining to be humorous & entertaining. (Instead of therapy he should spend that money & time working with some who are poor and needy & he will find that "cure" he has sought for so long by looking outside himself rather than in!) We could find very little in the plot to appeal to children &, as an adult's movie, it was stereotypical & slow-moving. I am seriously worried about people who find narcissism, personality disorders, violent death and foul language entertaining. Welcome to modern Rome.

Summary: antz
Review: Being a Woody Allen fan, I saved up my allowence to buy this movie. But I have to say it wasn't that great. Why? The animation was OK, but to much dark undergound made me fall asleep for 15 minutes and I missed the battle part, which I heard was very gory.I didn't find the language much of a problem, because it's rated PG. And the storyline. It had a 'dangeling' plot, first the problem is that the villian is trying to wipe out the colony and wed the princess, and then the good guy Z (Woody Allen) has a problem hating his life, the he meets the princess who has her own problems, and they story drags on and on until finally Z and the rest of the colony are stuck in a flood, they get out and Z knocks the villian into the water.

Overall, this movie would be alot better if it were live action, and the ants were humans. Bit then it would be to ordinary and but be passed off. These are a critic's words, for adults it was untasteful, and for kids, they might like it, but its PG. P.S Don't email me about spelling problems because i don't really care. But you can email me.

Summary: Antz galore
Review: Antz, the first computer generated animated film from Dreamworks Studios, is a light and breezy comedy of completely mistaken proportions. Fellow ant Z (voice of Woody Allen) has a problem relating to a society wereby an identity of any magnitude is frowned upon, seen as a weak link in a population of billions. Z's neurosis typical gets the better of him (so Woody Allenish) when he finds himself not only falling for the Princess (Stone) but enlisted in a battalion that has marched off to wage war with some nearby termites. Being a sole survivor after the battle leaves the entire regiment dead he is afforded hero worship status until the cat is blown out of the bag that he is just a plain worker and not a soldier. To add turmoil to the recipe he accidentally kidnaps the princess and embarks on wild search for "Insectopia" a land were bug's of all kinds can live in peace and exercise the right of their own identity. When it becomes apparent that the army General (Hackman) has a few ideas of his own in order to flush out the weak links of the colony and build a new and stronger one with the unwilling aid of the princess, does Z's neurosis of total insignifigance help him aid the colony to become the biggest hero of them all. Filled with witty one liners, which may sweep over most childrens heads, and superb computer generated imagery, elevate this yarn to highly enjoyable status. Only quibble is that it may be too frightening for some younger viewers.

Summary: Great stars, great movie
Review: Unlike "A Bug's Life", a complete failure, "Antz" is more entertaining, e.g. the battle scene and somewhat explicit dialogue. Also, what is wrong with everybody who loves "Bug's Life"! Ants do not have four legs! "Antz" has the biggest celebrity voice cast in history, AND is anatomically correct, two signs that point to a winner. Ignore everyone else and listen to someone with a 186 IQ (Me)!

Review: Yawn, yawn.

For me Woody Allen completely spoilt this film. He is yet again a character with an inferiority complex. Even hidden by beautiful computer animation, his ever depressive tone and stereo-typical casting, lead the viewer into complete apathy, and a longing he will finally solve his inferiority complex by committing suicide. When is Mr. Allen ever going to die ?

Summary: This was a better movie than a Bug's Life. Anyone knows that
Review: It's obvious Antz is better than A Bug's Life. I'm sorry; but Disney movies have too many songs and that bores me. Furthermore, Antz has a more adult plot than A Bugs Life. So you would have to be pretty immature to like A Bug's Life more. Sorry, but it's true

Summary: Sorry Dreamworks, but you're not quite Disney!
Review: Here's a tip...if you're going to watch Antz and 'A Bug's Life' then watch antz first so you don't get disappointed! The story line is a rather straight forward boring one...'Spend the whole time plotting what they're going to in secret, then in 3 minutes at the end the resolution takes place!' All drama's consist of EXPOSITION, DEVELOPMENT, CRISIS & RESOLUTION; Antz has EXPOSITION, RESOLUTION! Although the all-star cast helped the movie along, it does not compare to the genius of Disney. Sorry Guys!

Summary: Watch this movie DVD style
Review: I saw the movie and enjoyed it. However, if you would really like to enjoy this movie, I recommend that you watch the DVD version on a Wega system. The picture, and sound enhanses the movie tremendously. If you dont have these systems, go to a friends house who does and watch it there. You will be amazed.
