Summary: ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC! :(
Review: This movie did not make any sense. Who had the idea to make this boring movie. If you want to see a REAL movie, see "The Wizard of Oz!"

Summary: The Best Bug Flick Around
Review: Of the two big insect movies going (Antz and A Bug's Life), I have to say that Antz has the more entertaining story. A Bug's Life takes the trophy for best animation. It's vibrant colors and textures are stunning. Particularly impressive are the grasshopper characters whose exoskeletons look amazingly lifelike. But the story in Antz is much more appealing from an adult's point of view. It is more sophisticated, and the movie, quite frankly, is a lot funnier. Woody Allen brings his distinctively neurotic style of humor to the lead role of Z. Allen fans will love his performance here. Both movies are excellent in their own right and deserve a place in your movie collection.

Summary: First thing-this is not a kid's movie!
Review: I'm a college student who happened to see this movie at a friends a few days before classes started, and I was quite surprised with the movie. The story isn't exceptoionally ingenious, but I laughed out-loud a few times. Some of the complaints about this movie would be expected: the language, the violence, and even a few sexual refrences. Like I said before, this is not a kid's movie. Also, the complaint about all the brown tones is annoying, the brown is ment to be drab because it is only seen in the scenes with the worker ants. It's symbolic, but anyone who thought a movie with Woody Allen would be a kid's movie wouldn't understand that either.

Summary: After 8 times I still like it. Very well done.
Review: I'm 25 and I love this movie... good (smart) story, good acting and a good look. I've seen this and a Bug's Life several times and I MUCH prefer Antz... It seems more real than the bubble gum Disney stuff.

The DVD has a lot of nice features too. Highly recommended.

Summary: Very High-Quality Animation/A little violent maybe...
Review: I thought the movie was great as far as the computer animation.. Even better than Bug's Life in that regard.. I would have reservations about letting my kids watch it until they were old enough to realize that some of the characters in it are a bit negative and have a somewhat more violent type attitude than those in Bug's Life.. Overall however, it contains a good message of heroism and devotion to one's family group..

Summary: My niece loves it!
Review: I took my niece to see Antz when she was 2years old and I bought it later on to add on to my vast woody allen colection. she prefers antz to bugs life. The other day i was watching Play it again sam and she recognized his voice!

Summary: Great Adult Entertainment
Review: Although this movie is in cartoon form, it is not for kids. Adults, however will love it. It is a sophisticated fairy tale of one individuals attempt to create a better life in a place where the groups is all that matters. In the process, he changes not only his life, but the lives of all those around him. It is also an adorable movie-clever and witty throughout. Where else can you get such a different perspective on life? The trials and tribulations of Z are great fun, and should be enjoyed by almost everyone. The animation makes is all worthwhile as well.

Summary: What Is This?
Review: From the reviews I'm hearing, this movie sounds like a sequel to "Natural Born Killers" Wake up and smell the coffee people; stop comparing this great movie to "A Bug's Life" and stop all the complaints about bad language. I watched it and I hardly heard any! When there was, it just made the story seen a lot more real, showing how the ants feel about life. I admit there were quite a few killings but that's the way real ants live their lives. And if you're not prepared for the sorry reality of it, don't watch this film.

Summary: Funny, but...........
Review: The movie antz is pretty funny. Woody Allen(Z) and Selvester Stallone(Weaver) are in the movie and throw good wise cracks. The only problem is the graphics and the story. Okay, the GRAPHICS were good, but the was hardly any color. It was like watching something that was made in the 50s. Color makes a little "happy" felling, but no color is gloomy! And the story. Too ordinary. I mean, the bad guy wants to marry the princess. PLEEAASEE!! Having the bad guy marry the princess has been around since gawd knows when. And if your deciding to get either a bugs life or antz, get a bugs life. If you have a four year old, antz might be too inappropriate for kids. Even if you dont have any kids, get a bugs life. It is way funnier and better. overall, this movie gets two toes down.
