Summary: Nice, but....
Review: Not so funny, although I love De Niro & Billy Crystal. De Niro overacts in the crying scenes, but otherwise is menacing yet likeable as the Mafia boss.Billy as the psychiatrist is perfect as usual. Lisa Kudrow is terrible. The fat guy Jelly who's De Niro's sidekick is good too. But something's missing in the movie. It is no 'When Harry Met Sally', nor is it 'Prizzi's Honor'. Not by a long shot.

Summary: Great movie, so-so extras.
Review: Let me start by saying that I give the movie five stars. It was a truly funny and enjoyable movie. However the extras on the DVD leave much to be desired. One would think that a commentary track by both De Niro and Crystal would be great, and it probably would be, except for the fact that they did not do it together. What made the movie so good was the chemistry between the two leads, but seperate they just don't capture the same magic. What makes this a true shame is that this is De Niro's first commentary track. He is my all time favorite actor and I would hate to see him turned off of doing commentaries by this one bad experience. For Crystal's part of the commentary he simply states over and over again how great De Niro is. I understood that the first time he said it. Harlod Ramis is a little better on his commentary track, but it lacks the needed punch to be listened to more than once. The gag reel is funny for the first one or two gags and then starts to get old. It is the same thing over and over again (De Niro laughing). Like I said in the begining it was a great movie, but the DVD extras leave much to be desired.

Summary: A wonderful comedy with an interesting premise.
Review: The first time I saw this movie, I laughed so hard, it hurt. This was a wonderfully funny film. DeNiro was terrific except for the crying (once or twice would have been enough). I enjoyed watching Billy Crystal. He proves again he can do almost anything. The man has talent! I also enjoyed the performance of Joe Viterelli and would like to have seen more screen time for Chazz Palminteri. My compliments to Harold Ramis for making it work and for Tony Bennett. That was a nice touch. Salute.

Summary: Outstanding....except for Lisa Kudrow
Review: It was the funniest movie I have seen since Liar Liar. Robert DeNiro once again shows what a terrific actor he is and Billy Crystal never ceases to shine as the perfect foil for DeNiro. It was amazing to see how funny DeNiro can be, although the crying was a little difficult to believe. The only dim part was the casting of Lisa Kudrow as Crystal's wife. Phoebe she is and Phoebe she will always be, which is kind of disappointing since she seemed to have the most promise of all of the friends as far as big screen projects go. She could have excelled in the role, but ended up to be an extension of Phoebe. It was great, you will not regret seeing it!!

Summary: De Niro Rules
Review: Yes, he is the greatest actor of our time. Drama, tragedy, action, and comedy. This is a whoopin' and hollerin' movie that will be enjoyed for a long time. He and Crystal are perfect together. Reminiscent of the pairing of De Niro and Grodin in Midnight Run in that the chemistry is perfect. Extra added bonuses on this DVD: wonderful outtakes and two movie-length commentaries. One by Crystal and De Niro; the other by Harold Ramis, who really knows how to direct a comedy.

Summary: "Analyze This" is the funniest movie ever made.
Review: This movie is the Don of all comedies. I have often heard that the comedy genre has been dropping into to nothing but disgusting filth(I disagree). "Analyze This" is certainly an exception for everyone who thinks that current comedy is bad. The film is absolutely hysterical. Simply the best comedy ever made. From Billy Crystals uproarious "other patients" to De Niro breaking down in tears(best part) the movie keeps you laughing non-stop. Definitley five stars.
