Summary: Very funny!
Review: This movie is a great satire on mob movies, and shrinks. Billy Crystal and Robert DeNiro are terrific and I laughed til it hurt! DeNiro will shock and surprise you with his tremedous comedic performance, and I really loved the plot. Word of warning for parents, this film is very much like a mob movie with tons of swearing and violence but it is a comic masterpiece that is sure to make you roll with laughter!

Summary: They... They... they are good!
Review: Not less than what be would expect in a movie that includes two of the greatest actors that cinema brought to us. Crystal, as always, is the king of comedy and in every single gesture makes us want to make an appointment as soon as posible with this incredible doctor Sobol he composed. De Niro is the other jewel and once again he showned us that he can do any (any, really) character, no matter who or what, with an amazing talent. This two guys look great in the screen and the movie is worth because of this amazing couple. The only thing that looks odd in this film is Kudrow's acting. I believe ANY other actress could have done a better job than good old Phoebe. Perhaps it is because she had to deal working with this two marvelous actors, but the boy that plays Crystal's son had no trouble with that and did a wonderful work. Hmmm... I believe our time is up... So just let me tell you that I sure recommend this movie (specially to shrinks and people of their kind) and challenge everybody to say "NO" to it. You won't be able to. Believe me... ;)

Summary: Awesome, Totally Awesome
Review: You will laugh your head off. This movie pitts Robert De Niro with Billy Crystal. Robert De Niro is a mobster, trying to figure out what is wrong with himself. Billy Crystal is the doctor (Shrink) that wants to cure him. With so many funny parts, you will enjoy this movie. 5 Stars all the way.

Summary: Very Funny - but someone kill Lisa Kudrow
Review: This film is hilarious. It borrows from all the gangster themes and really works as a comedy with an original story with elements of a spoof too. Crystal and DeNiro are superb, as are the supporting cast of gangsters. However, who cast Lisa Kudrow in this? She has shown yet again that the only role she can play is Phoebe. Her part is small but she still manages to be just as annoying as always. Really out of her depth in this company.

Summary: "The Sopranos" it ain't by a longshot!
Review: "Analize This" was a big hit based upon a great concept and a couple of yuks. And that's about all this film has. The theme is somewhat similar to "The Sopranos" with the big time gangster seeing a psychiatrist. But any five minutes of "The Sopranos" has more wit and imagination than this entire movie. Robert DiNiro does a good job playing his stereotypical gangster role for laughs, and he does manage a few. Billy Crystal, on the other hand, is yet again playing the same character he plays in just about every movie he's in. That wouldn't be so bad if the script didn't completely take plausibility for a ride. "The Sopranos" is so good (and funny) because it seems so real. "Analyze This," especially the horrendously unbelievable and unfunny climax, scene rings so hollow and so false that it becomes nearly unwatchable for any true fan of gangster movies. Bottom line, if you are a gangster buff, fughettaboutit!

Summary: Analyze This
Review: This is one of De Niro's BETTER films of recent years.
I confess this film isn't the greatest comedy out there, but it certainly one worth noticing. Billy Crystal and Robert DeNiro are simply hillarious in this film, and the story is one of the most original ideas for a comedy. The film is about this big time mafia boss, Paul Vitti (Robert DeNiro), that needs therapy for his pschological problems, so he consults local therapist Ed Sobel (Billy Crystal) for help. However, sparks fly when Dr. Sobel soon finds himself surounded by men from rival mafia families and policeman hunting him. Unfortunately, this film does suffer from some cliches, some bad stereo typed characterization, and the dialogue wasn't convincing at times, but it doesn't ruin the film. Overall, this film is good for some laughs that the entire family can enjoy.

Summary: Hilarious Gangster Comedy
Review: Raucous comedy about a gangster(Robert DeNiro) who at mid-life is overcome with internal "issues" and the nervous psychiatrist(Billy Crystal) who reluctantly treats him. This film does not quite reach classic status but there are consistent laughs here. DeNiro effectively sends-up the gangster-types that he assayed in more serious films and he and Crystal have good comic chemistry here. Film had the misfortune to be released around the same time that "The Sopranos" premiered but any comparisons of the two are just incidental. Good support here from the late Joe Viterelli as one of DeNiro's henchmen and Chazz Palmintieri as DeNiro's chief rival.
