Summary: Broderick and Ryan at their dark comedic BEST!!!
Review: I first saw this film a couple years ago when it first came out but didn't pay too much attention to it. A couple of weeks ago I actually had time to sit down and watch it and I was amazed at Meg Ryan's versatility in this role. It was so nice not to see her in her usual "Miss jilted tomboy" routine. I was even impressed at the tone in which Matthew Broderick set in this movie. He was just the perfect amount of nasty and nice, vulnerable and sneaky. I thought the chemistry between Broderick and Ryan was sensational. I really hope they do another dark comedy together!

Review: I have been DESPERATELY looking for a song on one of the trailers before this movie. The song was also in an old VW commercial. I can't remember the name of the film advertised before "addicted to love". If anyone has this tape, please email me a list of the trailers before the movie so I can find the soundtrack and get this song.

Thanks in advance... Scott hublar hublar@yahoo.com

Summary: The best! The ultimate revenge fantasy!
Review: I love this movie! Dark comedy at its best. Nice to see Ryan in a not so "Miss Mary Sunshine" role. Broderick was a wooden as ever but likeable nonetheless...especially when he flashes a smug expression reminiscent of those he was famous for in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I loved watching the sneaky ex boyfriend get his much deserves comeuppance. You go girl! And there was a happy ending for both couples in the film...a nice was to balance all the dark notes in this comedy. Farafetched? Yes. Something normal people wopuld ever dare attempt? No way--unless they want to end up dead or in jail. But as far as revenge goes this is served up as sweet as pie. The ultimate revenge fantasy...I've seen it 3 times!

Summary: Mey Ryan is Charming!
Review: I love this movie. Reminds me of how refreshing and lovely older movies are.

Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick, spurned by both their lovers has decided to take revenge. It was both hilarious and fun to watch. Methods of revenge are extreme and well thought!

Good Movie!

Summary: Human
Review: I loved this movie. I believe that it reflects the way that these four very different people react to having their hearts broken. It is so easy to judge people based on how they appear and this movie gives us pause. Very few movies can give us such insight without being depressing, yet this one leaves you feeling good.

Summary: The Perfect Romantic Comedy
Review: I must have seen this movie over 10 times now, and each time, it's a blast! There is no other movie that I have ever felt so strongly about as this movie. It has so many little jokes that you can't catch on the first go and over time, you appreciate them even more. The fun comes in reciting the lines with the movie and, trust me, it never gets old. The film is not only romantic, but it is fun and entertaining for people of all ages. Once you've seen this movie, it will be the bar that you compare all other romantic comedies to! Watch it NOW! Whether you rent it or buy it, it is highly recommended.

Summary: Get into it! Forget reality!
Review: I read the reviews, and sure it gets a little ugly in one spot, but suspend all your worries and just pretend you're letting your mind run to "possibilities". Haven't you ever imagined what you'd like to do to someone who jilted you? It's a fantasy really. And then it's about that ugly place you go when something great ends, but eventually you pull free of it. So enjoy the movie, don't take it or yourself so seriously. Besides all that, it was uproariously funny! I really liked this one and intend to share it with everyone I know, and meet, in the future.

Summary: Revenge is a dish best served cold...
Review: I saw it, I loved it, and I'm going to own it...only those of us who have been used and jilted can really appreciate this dark comedy...and we are legion. Perhaps were justice more readily available, jerks like Frenchie & Goldilocks would think twice before they go victimizing...for now this movie can help sate the thirst for revenge of the brokenhearted.

Summary: Twisted but Good Rear Window
Review: I stayed away from this film at first because of the not-so-enthusiastic Leonard Maltin review that described this film as too dark to make the final fadeaway scene believable. I'm glad to report that he was wrong. Meg lovers afraid to see this because you may not get the sweetness of Sleepless or Mail, can safely see this video as long as you remember - it's a role - it's a film - it's entertainment. In between the get-even things Meg does to her ex-scum boyfriend, the softness slightly slips out around Matthew Broderick. I'll tell you what helped me. If you hate studs that think they have rights to take over any other person's girl and if you hate arrogant Frenchmen, then you will really enjoy this film. Matthew Broderick is OK but he needs more facial expressions, like the ones when he is a dishwasher at Anton's restaurant. The actor playing Anton fits the role well. If you do enjoy the film, don't feel guilty, just don't get any ideas of your own for getting even.
