Summary: parallels with French Kiss, but not a rip off
Review: The nasty vindictivness in this movie is what makes it so enjoyable, Matthew broderick gets a dear Matt letter and takes off from his perfectly planned life to win back his childhood sweetheart from the arms of the rude french chef (redundencies abound). Matthews character, that of his ex-fiance and the frenchman are well defined and in my opinion likable, but megs character was flat, she did her best but there just wasnt much to work with. we learn the backgrounds of the other three main characters fairly well, but hers is lacking. her character needed a few weeks of overhaul and maybe another actress all together: i think Minny Driver would have been good still Ryan did what she could with the part. its a good movie to watch if you've ever been dumped AND it gives us a few ideas besides the flaming bag of dog poo on the porch.

Summary: True Romance
Review: There's a freshness to Addicted to Love that's long been absent from the romantic comedy genre. It takes a new angle in which paybacks become the ultimate art form of the jilted. The genial nature of the four leads keeps it interesting too. Even Ryan--never one of my favorites--is genuinely charming here, in a biker-chick sort of way. The happily ever after comes as expected, but the rocky road that takes us there is pleasantly unpredictable.

Summary: It's a "French Kiss" remake!!!
Review: Think about it. Meg Ryan stars in a film about somebody's fiance going away on what's supposed to be a short trip. Instead, however, the fiance falls in love with a French person and decides to stay. So the other person follows them with the intention of winning them back, enlisting the help of somebody they meet upon arriving, and end up falling in love with that person who helped them! The plot of "French Kiss" or "Addicted to Love"? Try BOTH! And while both films are different in other ways, I still say "French Kiss" is the superior of the two!

Summary: An enjoyable rip-off of "French Kiss"
Review: Think about it. Meg Ryan stars in a movie where somebody's fiance goes away on what's supposed to be a short trip, but instead falls in love with a French person and stays put. The jilted lover goes after them, enlisting the help of a third party, who they end up falling for instead! Am I talking about "Addicted to Love" or "French Kiss"? Try BOTH!!! And to me, "French Kiss" was the far better film. But that's not saying I didn't like "Addicted to Love", as it was also entertaining. But, in my opinion, it's a RE-MAKE!!!

Summary: Oh, dear, no.
Review: This is just bad. I was surprised to see so many people giving it five stars. I'm not a Ryan fan, but I am a Broderick fan, and I think he just stumbles around in this picture. It wants to be a dark comedy, but simply isn't clever enough. It pokes feebly when it needs to sting. If you want something dark with a little zip, watch "The War of the Roses." That'll teach you how to get revenge on the one who's supposed to love you.

Summary: A wonderful movie
Review: This is my favorite movie because Meg and Matthew do a wonderful job

Summary: You Cant Watch This One Enough
Review: This is one of my favorite ALL TIME movies! There are many movies I cant watch again, but Ive worn this video OUT! This movie is great for when youre in the mood for a comedy, a romance, if youve just broken up with someone or are just at that special someone. Its great when youre single to remind you WHY youre single. And pull that altogether with the fact that it has two of my very favorite people in it! Meg Ryan and Mathew Broderick! Enjoy! AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!

Summary: One of the best romantic comedy's of the year
Review: This movie is absolutely one of the best movies of Meg Ryan. Untill now I thought she only played nice and sweet characters in movies but in this one she is fantastic as a not-that-nice character.

This movie has just enough humor, romantic and drama. If you love good feel-good movies like You've Got Mail and My Best Friends Wedding, you will love this!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A dark and original comedy
Review: This movie is for anyone who has ever been scorned by a member of the opposite sex. It has all of the elements necessary to make a movie a classic: sex, love, voyerism , death by strawberries, some more sex, Meg Ryan, cockroaches, and oh yeah Meg Ryan.

A very good movie. A little off beat but I think that gives it a little charm.

Enjoy.
