Summary: Pretty desperate stuff, really...
Review: Anyone who started their Cheech and Chong collection with the sublime, landmark 'Up In Smoke' might feel more than slightly disappointed with this patchy, self indulgent affair that mixes the moderately amusing (absolute highlight is when Chong smokes the roach, literally) with the downright deplorable. The main problem seems to be that it's less a narrative based movie, like their debut, or 'Nice Dreams', and more a collection of sketches which vary quite a bit in quality. Certainly the second half, where Cheech-in-a-wig (as Cheech's cousin Red) and Chong travel around town with twenty pounds of buds in a duffel bag, fails to generate anything resembling a decent joke, including the worst on screen stoner conversation (between them and a wealthy dowager in a Rolls) I've ever seen. Other bits just drag, such as the scene in the welfare office with the dude who made the noises in the Police Academy films. No matter how out of it I've been, this bit makes absolutely no sense and feels like a five minute edit that the was left in by accident. Not too good at all.

Summary: A Bigger-Budget Movie and Thomas Chong is the Director.
Review: Cheech & Chong are back in this their second starring role movie. This time they are in a bigger-budget movie and Thomas Chong is the Director of this film. That's Cassandra Peterson, the red-headed lady with the sunglasses on top who has to say "Help me, Wamba!". We all later knew her as "Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark" here on Los Angeles television. Look closely behind the houses and you can tell that some scenes were filmed on the backlot of the studio. The story--Cheech gets frantic when he wakes up one morning and finds the van has been stolen, only to find out they got fired so the boss took it back. Back to the Public Social Services they go. But it's okay, Cheech's girlfriend works there. Let the fun begin. Phil Hartman and Rita Wilson (Tom Hanks' future wife) can be spotted in this film. The next film is CHEECH & CHONG'S NICE DREAMS (1981).

Review: don't listen to movie critics, this movie is funny as any movie I have watched.Pee Wee Herman(Paul Rueben) gives a stunning performance as a whining hotel clerk.Cheech and Chong go into one long adventure of hilarity. The songs that they sing are classic comedy and Edie Mclurg is at her all time best here.Very Comparable to Kingpin Comedy.Highly recommended

Summary: best cheech and chong movie
Review: Finally on DVD!!! I love universal for bringing this one on DVD finally. this is the best cheech and chong movie in my opinion. Better than up in smoke, even though up in smoke is great. This movie is excellent and i highly recommend it to cheech and chong lovers!

Summary: Great movie..."but"....
Review: Great movie...but...would be a better DVD if it had both versions. The version (not included) in questions is the heavy censor TV version. Instead of "weed" they are carrying "diamonds". That version has a better soundtrack as well. Also, cartoons, and more UFO scenes. Usually censorship makes for a bad movie, but in this case it makes for a totally stupid, great, awesome movie. It just proves how far censors would go in the 1980's. Universal should release a disc with both "classic" versions. Oh, and Edie McClurg is great in this one! Welcome cone to "The Next Movie" yall cmon in...rockin soundtrack!

Summary: By far greatest cheech and chong movie
Review: I have seen several cheech and chong movies, in no paticular order and found this one to be the most entertaining. Some say up in smoke is the best but i personally get many laughs out of this one and when its on tv ill sit and watch the whole thing.Very funny with no real plot which makes the movie, just alot of comedy with pot. I give it five stars in the comedy genre of movies. The randomness really adds to the movie. I'd by the video for the mexivan seen alone. Definetly recommend to friends.

Review: i have to agree with the 15 other smokers who reviewed this clasic from c&c,red (cheech's cousin) is brilliant throughout.cheech trying to get rid of chong so he can ride donna from welfare, and the scene where he works at the film studio stand out.I only wish i had more space to talk about this.take your had out of your arse leonard! and watch some quality movies like this for a change.

Summary: The best Cheech and Chong movie!
Review: I keep waiting for another film to come out like this, but the wait is still on. The plot is ingenious. Two low-lifes just walking around town doing whatever they want to do, causing all kinds of havok and not a fear in the world about being caught. I may be the only person in the world who feels this way, but if Cheech and Chong reunited for another movie today, it would break all of Titanic's records 1 hour after opening at the box office.
