Summary: Holy Sheep *#%!...another great film
Review: The follow-up to Up In Smoke has a few significant entertainment events. 1st...the debut "officially" of PeeWee Herman. Also, it's the debut of Evelyn Guerrero (Donna) and Rikki Marin. Plus some of the sight gags, including the conversion of the van and the soap bubble gag are classic. Unfortunately..this film was massively butchered by broadcast television, so to fully experience the Cheech and Chong experience..dont pass this one over.

Summary: Ain't That A PEACH?
Review: The scene with Cheech & Chong riding in their van with Chong's (...) specimen (actually, he got his sister to fill the jar) and a bag of white powder is the funniest thing I've ever seen in a movie. It alone is worth the price of the DVD. But there's more!

The guitar shop, the bath house, Chicken Charlie, "Ain't that a peach", "I think they're Iranians!", and "I'm gonna turn this glass into a ..." are funny enough to leave anyone in stitches.

I'm not a pothead, but I love this movie!

Summary: Half as good as UIS
Review: This flick has a few good laughs, but largely falls on its face. BUT... if you smoke enough dope it'll seem like a 5 star comedy, but if you smoke that much dope you may have trouble finding the 'PLAY' button on your VCR.

Summary: Funny as hell in bits and pieces
Review: This is a great movie if you're just in the mood to laugh and don't feel like watching a movie with a deep plot. Much better than "Up In Smoke" in my opinion. The movie is filled with lots of funny skits but, there is one BIG reason to either rent it or buy it: The welfare office segment. The old drunk man laughing at the nodding junkie has to be one of the funniest scenes ever filmed. I watched this movie with a friend and we watched that scene over and over again. It didn't even seem like it was scripted. While the old man is cracking up at the junkie, Michael Winslow (from Police Academy), is doing submarine and baby crying sound effects. While this is going on, Chong is just looking around and laughing at what's going on around him. It's about 5 minutes of insanity that is the highlight of the film and the one I remembered most from when I first saw it in 1980. When this movie came out, many people complained about it's pro-drug attitude but, any character who's doing drugs is just a burn-out and a loser. Cheech and Chong once said in an interview that they were like a walking billboard sign against drugs because their characters were such a mess. I went to high school in the 70s and I hung out with people like this. Maybe that's another reason why I think this movie is so funny. Who knows?

Summary: Still waiting for an "Collector's Edition"
Review: This is C&C's funniest film ever. "Up In Smoke" is really good and establishes the duo's place in the cinema, but 'Next Movie' is just plain awesome.
I was planning to buy this dvd, and still intend to do so, but was a little disappointed that they did not include any footage of the deleted or alternate scenes. Those of you who saw the 'diamonds version' on comedy central years ago know what I mean. There were some extra or extended made-for-tv scenes that really filled the movie out nicely...not like this is an epic picture like Gone With The Wind, War and Peace or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Still in all, this one is a purchase.

Summary: Best Cheech and Chong movie!
Review: This is the best Cheech and Chong movie, hands down. They learned from "Up in Smoke" and brought their experience to bear on this film. I'm thrilled that it's finally on DVD - now I can throw out my worn-out VHS.
