Summary: Awsome Show!
Review: Army of Darkness has a great story, great acting, and great fighting. The only reason that it didn't get five stars is that it doesn't have enough gore. The gore in this movie doesn't even compare to Evil Dead. The action is awsome and so is the comedy. Ash is spitting out one-liners while he is killing the crap out of the dead army. Great Movie, I definetly recommend it!!!

Summary: Evil Dead?!? I Don't Think So....
Review: Evil Dead fans all hailed this the best film of the series...WHY?!? I loved Evil Dead, and the sequel was just as amazing. So, I wait for the third installment. Video stores where I live don't have movies like this, so I pre-ordered it from Amazon and waited. Once the DVD arrived, I wished I could've shipped it back! I failed to find the obnoxious humor that every other fan knew and loved. The film wasn't scary, more of a comedy -- and a bad one at that! Bruce Campbell reprises his role from Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn -- and director Sam Raimi returns to direct this piece of $h!T -- what a joke! Film is terrible, in short, if you loved Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 because of the gory fun and (sometimes) funny plot, then avoid this like the plague!

Summary: THIS MOVIE IS GREAT
Review: BRUCE CAMBELL is awesome in this one. This movie is hilarious. It is a two disc set. It has a 20 minute featurette, theatrical trailer, deleated scenes, commentary, a storyboard viewer while watching the movie, a original ending and more. There is a little book in the case. This movie is awesome.

If you liked Evil Dead you will like this one except for one thing there is no gore in this one.

If you watch closely at the battle seen at end, when he brings out his car and hits the skeletons with that spinning type of thing on the front of his car, the part where he chops the two in half and it shows it in slow motion, it shows that same seen three times from different angles. One from close up slow motion. One from side, and one in fast motion from far away. There might be more but I am not sure.

This movie is great for a action, comedy fans. it's worth the money.

Summary: "This is a trick. Someone get an ax."
Review: This one is a lot of fun. The one-liners spouted by Ash are memorable: "Good, bad, I've got the gun," for example. Even though there are a lot of battles, there really isn't any gore, so this one is suitable for kids, who, I think, will find it hilarious. And anyone who is a horror film buff will enjoy the many allusions to various films, including a nod to Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion, especially his fighting skeletons. Good flick, with lots of horror and humor.

Summary: The same good movie, stripped of the good parts!
Review: It's the "Army of Darkness" and what more can you say? You love it or you hate it. I loved it - until I bought this DVD (bootleg/director's cut).

For some reason, on this version, they stripped out all the really good lines!!! ???

BTW - This movie is NOT horror. Has some "horror" aspects, but its really a comedy - or it would be if they hadn't stripped out all the good comedy lines in the Bootleg edition.

Summary: One of the funniest tongue-in-cheek movies ever!
Review: REVIEW BY NICK EVANGELISTA:
To me, this is one of the best pokes at the "real man's adventure" genre that goes back to those lurid magazine of the 40s, 50s, ansd 60s, where the shirtless hero is always traped in some hideous prediciment with a half naked woman.

Bruce Campbell has perfected the delivery of the over-the-top hero, Ash, and there is no one in Hollywood who could do the part with more gusto. With a chainsaw strapped to his arm, and a "boomstick" to his back, he stumbles through one overblown, blood-gushing adventure to a another.

In my opinion, this is the best entry in the "EVIL DEAD" series.

By the way, has anyone else noticed the similarity to this film and Mark Twain's "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court"?

Summary: Finally!
Review: Finally! Finally! Finally! An Army of Darknes edition with both the original and theatrical version. It used to be you had to buy two different DVDs of the film so that you can have all the deleted stuff & original ending and still have a version with the awesome theatrical ending. No more of that. Now you can have both plus a great behind the scenes documentary, theatrical trailer and comentary with this Double Disc "Boomstick" edition. There's also a nice little booklet inside which is written by Ash himself, Bruce Campbell.
This Edition is awesome. Picture is great. Sound is great. It's all good. I love it.

Summary: Well hello Mr. Fancy Pants!
Review: This movie takes place after the last one with Ash attempting to send the evil back in time, but a portal opens up and Ash is sent, car, shotgun, chainsaw, and all back to the 13th century. He is then captured by Arthur's clan, his his believed to be in league with Henry's clan (two waring groups). After a heroic escape from the well, Ash shows those "primitive screwheads"
what's up with his shotgun (and a hilarious quote!).

Eventually Ash is sent on a quest to find the Necromonicon. This book, while keeping the Deadites away forever, will also send Ash home. Ash ventures out, and encounters some great scenes (bad ash, and the mini ash's). He eventually finds the book, but screws up a vital part of taking it and unleashes the deadites. Ash then brings Arthur and Henry together and they fight the deadites using modern science (provided by ash) and wonderful low budget goodness!

This movie, one of the most popular horror-comedies out there is also one of the most quoteable. There are classics throughout the whole movie that everyone will love! The special features are decent. There's a couple of commentaries and some deleted scenes as well as story boards. All good here!

Do yourself a favour and pick this classic up! No longer a cult classic, but a real classic.

Summary: The Funniest Horror/Comedy ever made!
Review: This movie by itself was and is one of the most hilarious films I've ever viewed. But then when you put Director's Cut and the U.S. Theatrical Version together in the same package, you have pure madness! If you like horror/comedies this is the package for you, if you can't afford this 2 disc set, at least buy the movie by itself. But if you're a dedicated Evil Dead fan, buy this!

Review: How do you make a great thing better...Director's Cut. I've seen Army of Darkness countless times (100+...when you live with six other guys in college, the movie is sort of on...all the time)...but when I viewed the Director's cut for the first time...blessed images danced across my as yet virgin eyes and new one-liners exploded from my speakers-I nearly wept with joy. This is a must have DVD set. I understand that you, much like myself, probably already own the movie on tape (X2), DVD, div-X, and possibly even Laser Disc. But know now that you will not regret this purchase.

Shop smart guys, shop S Mart.
