Summary: Hail to the King, baby!!!
Review: This film is great. It is one of the funniest movies ever made. I haven't seen Evil Dead Ior II (I ordered Evil Dead 1 from Amazon) but if they are anything like Army of Darkness I'm sure I will love them.

Summary: special effects??? this movie was a let down
Review: I had to turn this one off the effects were so poor. No ED2 here. The Army Of Darkness Attack on the castle reminded me of "March of the Wooden Soldiers".

Summary: Hail to the King Baby!
Review: I've seen all three of the Evil Dead films and Army of Darkness was by far the best of the lot. Corny? Yes. Ridiculous? Sure. Cool? No doubt. Bruce Campbell's lines are the best. "Maybe my boys can keep 'em from getting the book, just maybe. Yeah, and maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot." I've seen two versions of this film. There's the regular version and then there is a TV-movie version where additional scenes are added in (saw this one on the Sci-Fi Channel). There is rumoured to be a third version, a boot-legged version where a different ending is portrayed. In the original, Ash drinks the juice and winds up back at S-Mart where he's telling his story to a fellow (bored) clerk. A Deadite is in the store, Ash kills it and gets the girl. The alternate version has Ash losing count of the drops of juice he drinks, and winds up in post-apocalyptic times. The alternate ending sounds cool, and would leave the door wide open for a fourth film...

Summary: can't hold a candle to Evil Dead 2
Review: While a noble attempt to update the ED flicks to more popular status, I found Army of Darkness to lack the overall kick butt ingenuity of its predecessor. Likewise, not as much silliness factor throughout, which is something I really dug about ED2. Still, Army of Darkness has the impressive Mr. Bruce Campbell in it. 'Nuff said.

Summary: "Evil Dead" at its best!
Review: The furious third part of sam Raimi's "Evil Dead"-Trilogy is one of the best films this century. Watching a film which doesn't take itself serious is more fun than a very good comedy. For every one who likes black humor and can laugh about a very nice anti-hero, this movie is a must.

Summary: Completes the Evolution of the Series!!
Review: For all of those people trashing this movie for not being a "horror" movie, C'MON!! As great freaky and gorey as the first two movies are, they are hardly true horror flicks!! AOD has some of the best lines and funniest acting I've ever seen! Cheesy, funny, intense, GIVE IT A TRY!!

Summary: A weal follow-up, but still fun
Review: This third entry in the Evil Dead series is the least of them. The first half of the movie is hilarious, but it quickly runs out of gas and becomes too preoccupied with an interminable battle against an army of skeletons. At this point, the violence gets cartoonish instead of comically gory, like the first two. By the way, that incantation Ash says, "Clatu Verata Nicto" is taken from an old science fiction movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still" Honest!

Summary: Blinkey
Review: This movie is GOD. None is better.

Bruce Campbell is one of the most underrated actors. He can act really good unlike many $20 Million-a-picture actors/actresses in Hollywood.

DVD ROCKS

Summary: The Greatest Horror Satire Ever
Review: It is a shame that the DVD version has altered so many scenes from the international version.. The sex scene has been cut, the words in the Good Ash/Bad Ash scene have been changed from "I ain't that good" to "Good, bad, I'm the man with the gun.." and the ending has changed (Amongst others..) Even with these cuts and changes, the film still kicks ass, and I hope that a special edition is released with the other bits put back in. (BTW, the "cut" short version is the American version, and the longer "uncut" version is the international version according to Bruce Campbell)

This film, whichever version you are watching is a classic, and deserves all 5 of its stars....

Summary: This is the best movie ever.
